Good Morning! Wednesday March 31, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! The sun is so bright I can't even see out my window ... will be clear and sunny and mid to upper 70s today! YAY! Too bad I will be stuck inside most of the day. Not even a window. Well, at least I still have light when I get home.
Last night I began working on gathering things for the weekend; but mostly, I just watched AI. I haven't changed my mind about who I like best, although the runners-up change weekly. I think Didi will (or should) go home tonight.
I have to go to the grocery store on the way home; but I'll still get home before dark. I hope to start assembling the shelf tonight.

Today is "Bunsen Burner Day" ... "National "She's Funny That Way" Day" ... "Anniversary - Eiffel Tower" ... "Transfer Day (Virgin Islands)".

Idol Watching, Top Ten

The guest mentor this week is Usher.

First: Siobhan, "Through The Fire". She has a good voice. I wish she didn't feel the need to be just a little outrageous with her wardrobe, and shouty with the high notes. It just doesn't appeal to me. I probably would not buy her CD.
Judges: Randy: a little off-pitch. Ellen: agree. Kara: agree (nervous?). Simon: sounded like she was singing while running out of breath, not a good performance.

Second: Casey, "Hold On, I'm Coming". He is so cool. I like his voice, his sound, and he's a cutie. I don't think he'll win, but I hope he goes far. I definately would buy his CD!
Judges: Randy: hot night! Ellen: consistently good, a little generic. Kara: he has more range than he's showing. Simon: strongest week so far, really impressed.

Third: Mike, "Ready For Love". His voice brings tears to my eyes. No matter what he sings, he does it beautifully. I would SO buy his CD too.
Judges: Randy: sensitive, in the zone. Ellen: beautiful. Kara: incredible, got to true emotion of song. Simon: first time he can take him seriously as an artist, terrific!

Fourth: Didi, "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted". I just don't think she's all that good. A few flat notes? Maybe it's a bad choice; based on this I would not buy her CD.
Judges: Randy: kind of flat. Ellen: dramatic, not good. Kara: lost her way, not as good as auditions. Simon: like swimming in jelly, over the top & off melody.

Fifth: Tim, "Sweet Love". He has a nice voice, but something about him just doesn't "click" for me. I think this was good, but it seemed to me "off" in places. I would not buy his CD.
Judges: Randy: boring - flat, no connection. Ellen: mostly in key, sang like sneaking into a bedroom. Kara: broadway, vegas; took soul out of the song. Simon: completely inappropriate song, but no one cares and he'll be here next week.

Sixth: Andrew "Forever". He has a nice voice, and sings well. He's not my favorite, I would probably not buy his CD (though that could change with time depending on how he improves).
Judges: Randy: best performance in a long time. Ellen: amazing strong, good smile. Kara: giant leap in the right direction. Simon: miles better than past few weeks; but he comes across as boring.
(the bit with Andrew's Mama was silly!)

Seventh: Katie, "Chain of Fools". She has a voice much more powerful than she should at her age; but just a few "flat" spots. Maybe the song was too big? She's good enough to stay on still I'm sure. Again, not one I would buy.
Judges: Randy: one of the best of the night (but a little disconnected). Ellen: sang well, but song was too old. Kara: one of best performances. Simon: does not agree she has the potential, thought she came across cold. Doesn't agree with others about genre she should be singing.

Eighth: Lee, "Treat Her Like A Lady". Oh yeah, NOW I see why they picked him. This I really enjoyed. For this I would buy a CD. Lovely sexy quality to his voice.
Judges: Randy: best he's been in weeks, the bomb! Ellen: best of the night, his best. Kara: amazing. Simon: this is the night your life changed.

Ninth: Crystal, "Midnight Train to Georgia". I love this girl. I just flat out love her. She's been my #1 pick all along, and tonight that does not change. Loved that she went with piano, and even better without it. I most surely will buy her CD!
Judges: Randy: great, Gladys would love it! Ellen: in it to win it. Kara: fantastic. Simon: should not have had backup; don't lose your identy! do what's comfortable.

Tenth: Aaron: "Ain't No Sunshine". Wow, for a kid, he has a really good voice. I liked this .. another CD I would for sure buy.
Judges: Randy: started rough, just alright. Ellen: good choice, good job. Kara: liked it, not "in love" - could have gone higher. Simon: cupcake compared to some of the others tonight, not as good as last week, but ok.

My summary: I still like Crystal best, with both Mike close behind. I also like Casey, and Lee. I predict Didi going home.

Good Morning! Tuesday March 30, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Yesterday's rain dwindled away here, as I expected; some other areas had a few "left over" showers. It turned out a nice day, and more today - mostly sunny, breezy, and around upper 60s. Class was cancelled last night, so I watched all of Dancing. And yes, I admit ... that's all I did! LOL! No, wait, I'm wrong ... I did sand the boards for a small shelf I plan to make (as soon as Jimmy finds the right size screws for me to use!). Hopefully tonight will be more productive ... I need to start getting things lined up for the weekend. Then again ... we're down to top 10 on AI, which I will be watching! :)

I love tablescapes

I confess to being a dish-aholic! One of my favorite blogs is Between Naps On The Porch, and on Thursdays many many bloggers participate in "Tablescape Thursday". They share pictures of lovely tables all dressed up.
I am not ready yet to join them ... but, I hope to eventually get there. So today I'm sharing here ... with my **0** followers ... my Easter table.

I can't give all the details about everything. The dishes I found at a second hand shop .. not a complete set, though I'd love to find more of it. The tablecloth is one I've had for years ... I *think* I originally bought it on eBay. I didn't put any napkins or flatware because ... well ... I just don't have anything that would look right. The thumbprint glasses are some I inherited from my grandmother. The blue wineglasses were freebies from a paperback book subscription.

The glass candles in the centerpiece were a gift several years ago. I don't even know where the "tray" came from (I think it's actually a charger). The Easter "tree" came from a Dollar Tree. The glass candle holders are reproduction depression glass, don't even remember where they came from. I also don't remember where I got the floral rings.

And there you have it ... my pretty Easter table pulled together from old, second hand stuff from around the house! It's a start. :)

Good Morning! Monday March 29, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! Be careful what you "wish" for ... wow, is it raining! LOL! Yesterday was very cloudy and windy (though it got much warmer than I expected, into the low 70s), but we kept waiting for the rain. Just after dark we started to get reports of tornado warnings; and then the storms came! High wind, thunder and lightening, and puring rain, all night long! This morning it's still raining steady, though not quite as hard. My driveway is completely under water! The forecast for today is mid-60s, cloudy, possible "scattered storms".
Yesterday turned out to be busy, though not really doing much. I picked up a friend, and we did a lot of "window shopping"; and I bought the apple trees I'd been wanting. It was too windy to even try yesterday, so they'll get planted sometime this week. Not today! LOL! Tonight is business class, and hopefully home in time to see some of Dancing.

Good Morning! Sunday March 28, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's coolish and cloudy, but all the new growing things need rain. Hopefully we'll get some today. It will be upper 50s, maybe even 60. Then again, it may be cooler than that .. but it's still ok. This time of year, even a cloudy day is still colorful! :)
Yesterday I worked hard ... well, part of the day! LOL! I did have a lovely visit with a friend who came over and brought lunch .. yum! And it was fun to just sit around and talk awhile. I got some laundry done, a lot of cleaning (up until I broke my vacuum ... unfortunately, it's fixable). I made many trips up and down the stairs to put chairs up and bring down things to take to my son next weekend. And, I did manage to squeeze in a little bit of sewing. All in all, it was a pretty nice day!
Today I'm going to run some errands, and will probably do more (never-ending) laundry tonight. Other than that, I hope to relax!

Good Morning! Saturday March 27, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's chilly right now, but clear and sunny. It'll go to around 60, which is still fine for late March. It's also breezy; I haven't decided yet if it's an open door day or not. Since not much of my house gets actual sunshine, the breeze might be too cool ... but oh so nice to have the fresh air!
Last night we went out to eat(second choice rather than wait), and then stopped by a dollar store and a grocery store, and got gas in the car. It was late when we got home, so not much TV or anything else. This morning DH left bright and early (for him! LOL!) and is headed to the coast for the day to hopefully transact a business deal. Even though I'm "stranded" (no transportation), I'm loving having a day to myself. Hopefully I'll get some cleaning done, and not play on the computer all day! :)

Good Morning! Friday March 26, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. The forecast is for cloudy and maybe rainy; but right now it's all pale pinks and purples, and just lovely out my window! We'll drop down to mid-60s ... much cooler than yesterday, but not too bad!
Last night I actually --gasp!!-- ironed some tablecloths! Most of my Easter and spring decorating is done; but I'd like to find a few more things, especially for my "spring tree". Right now it has nothing but purple sheer fabric ... a rather bland look! LOL! Anyway, I watched one favorite show - a rerun. And since nothing else but basketball was on, I went to sleep early!
Tonight we have errands to run; but TV will be much the same. Perhaps I'll read. (tomorrow I get cleaning done - again - so I can get back to sewing!)

Good Morning! Thursday March 25, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's starting out a bit gray, but the forecast is for only partly cloudy, with a system moving in late tonight. It's to be mid-70s ... another lovely spring day!
Last night I had a small burst of energy when I got home. I got some more laundry done, a few things taken upstairs, and a lot of my Easter decorations out. It's nice to have cheery happy things about the house!
I was a little bit surprised at the results show last night; but not with who ultimately left. After the show, I tried to go to sleep a bit early ... should have tried to read first! LOL!
Tonight I hope to finish Easter stuff, so I can leave the weekend open for cleaning and some fun projects! :)

Good Morning! Wednesday March 24, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Yesterday's clouds are gone, and today will be sunny, breezy, low 70s. We have another shot of cold (probably several) coming, but no more "winter"! I still have more things to plant when the last of the cold shots are done, probably next month.
Last night I got laundry done, and a bit of cleaning; and the very last left-over Christmas (pictures on the walls) is down. I watched AI of course ... and one of my favorites is hands-down the best last night, with my other favorite a close second (no matter what the judges say! LOL!). I have 2 in mind to go home, so wonder if I've picked that right? We'll find out tonight.

Idol Watching, Top 11

Guest mentor, Miley Cyrus. She's cute and all, but I'm not all that much a huge fan.

Up first, Lee, "The Letter". I liked him ok, better than before; not a performance I would vote for. The judges seem to like him .. well, except Simon of course.

Second, Paige, "Against All Odds". She sings too soft, voice (pitch?) wobbly - didn't really get better when she got stronger. Definately would not vote for this (though she was so good last week). Unless someone else really blows it, I think she's gone. All the judges agreed.

Third up, Tim, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". Nice, not great. Reminds me of what Simon keeps calling "lounge singer" a bit. I won't vote here, at least not tonight. The girls seem to like him. I agree with the judges on this one.

Fourth, Aaron, "Don't Want To Miss A Thing". He's just a child, and I didn't want to like him .. but this was the best so far tonight. Good job! The judges mostly agreed ... even sour Simon. (not kind of Ryan to call him "David Archeletta" though).

Fifth, Crystal, "Bobby McGee". I just flat love her. That's all. She's great, (and one of my favorite songs as well), this was vote-worthy for me! OK, I agree with Ellen (hard for me to do because I don't like her) about stoicism; looking forward to more from her. Even Simon liked her! Wow! (and the rug bit was funny).

Sixth up, Mike, "When a Man Loves a Woman". He is just so terrific ... what a hard choice between him and Crystal! He's phenominal ... just going by tonight, he's a very close 2nd place to her. He gives me chills! I totally don't agree with the judges on this one.

Seventh, Andrew, "Heard It Through The Grapevine". I'm not crazy about him. This I would not vote for at all. I'm not sure if it's the singing or the arangement, but it's just not good to me. I agree with the judges, and think this may give Paige a chance to stay.

Eighth up, Katie, "Big Girls Don't Cry". I've not been especially her fan, but I thought she was good tonight. I'm not sure I agree with the judges, but she was good tonight. And she is cute.

Ninth, Casey, "Power of Love". OK, I think this guy is my 3rd top favorite so far. I like his singing; and I just like him, something appealing. In a grandmotherly sort of way. LOL! Yep, I could vote for this one tonight. The judges liked him ... except I think Simon is on crack or something.

Tenth up, Didi, "You're No Good". She's not bad, but sounded a little "off" to me, kind of flat in places. Maybe pitchy .. not even sure what that means. I like her voice, but I just didn't like this so much. I agree with the judges, but don't think she was the worst tonight.

Lat one up, Siobhan, "Superstition". She's good, though not one of my favorites. I did not at all like her "look" tonight, especially the hair. Yeah, it's not a "beauty contest", but she looks weird. She can sing, but I wouldn't vote for her. A little too shrieky, especially the end. The judges liked her better than I did (except Simon of course).

OK, over all, for me tonight, Crystal first; Mike second; Casey third; either Paige or Andrew going home.

Good Morning! Tuesday March 23, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Although the forecast is for mostly cloudy, it's starting out bright and mostly clear. It'll go to the lower to mid 60s, which is just right for late March. We may get showers later; yesterday started out rainy but cleared by evening.
My class last night was interesting to say the least! LOL! I am most definately not an "aggressive" type person; but in class I had to simulate a negotiation - with the only other person in class, a very "forceful" personality! There were no winners .. but no losers either.
I got home in time to see the last half of Dancing. I was disappointed in Evan (but hope he'll improve); and still have NO use for Kate! LOL! Tonight will be much better, the top 11 sing on AI. Can't wait to see how my favorites do. :)

Good Morning! Monday March 22, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. After the gloriously beautiful weekend, I woke up to thunder! It's been raining steadily since I got up, but has about stopped now. My newly planted bulbs will be SO happy! Today will be pleasantly warm ... 60s ... and probably start clearing by this afternoon.
Yesterday was not as warm as I expected, but a perfect outside day. We had our "girls morning out" breakfast, and then tackled the yard. A cement table got moved ... YAY! It turned out to be not as hard as we thought, and it's now in it's new home. And, where it used to be is now planted with more pretty things to surround the pond. A bonus is that the table no longer blocks the view of the pond from the house. Also, a little bit of weeding got done, and a beautiful spring wreath now graces a blank wall on the front of my house.
Later, we took my niece back home, had a nice (but too short) visit with my sister, and came home with my little car stuffed!! We got 6 chairs (lovely old ones which I will refinish), a bath seat, a small TV, and a toaster oven all in there. They came out a lot quicker than they went in! LOL! All in all, it was a great day and a great weekend.
Today will be long, with the class tonight. And after tonight, I have a list of projects to work on!

Good Morning! Sunday March 21, 2010

Good morning! It's a gorgeous morning. Yesterday was near perfect, and today will be more of the same ... clear, bright and sunny, slight breeze. I never heard the weather last night, but it wouldn't surprise me to hear we got up to near 80, and more than likely will do that today.
Yesterday we spent most of the day at Bentonville, and had a great time. It was crowded, noisy, and dirty ... just what it should be! LOL! I got over tired, but it was worth it. It would be nice not to have so much to do today and be able to go back. I would have liked to spend more time at the encampment part. Well, it'll be back again. The battle itself (which I enjoyed because the staff did a good job of getting the "people in front" to SIT DOWN!) is only every 5 years, but the camp and other similar activities are much more often.
Today we'll get out in the yard and catch up on some left-over winter stuff and do some spring planting. YAY! I'll be sore all over again by tonight, but oh so worth it! :)

Today is "Memory Day" ... "UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination" ... "Care Sunday (UK)" ... "Independence Day (Namibia)" ... "Human Rights Day (South Africa)".

Good Morning! Saturday March 20, 2010

Good morning! It is a gorgeous morning!! It's officially spring today (well, sometime today, not sure "exactly" when - doesn't matter!). And we just couldn't have had a nicer day here. It's bright and clear now, and will go to mid or upper 70s! I'm really sad for my northern friends who are still having **shudder** snow and cold!! I have daffodils!!
Last night we went out to eat (too extravagant but oh well!) and by the grocery store, and then came home and watched a movie. We watched "Sunshine Cleaners". So-so. It was cute in places, strange in others ... and had the dumbest ending ever! (more like it just stopped, but didn't "end").
Today we are going to a civil war battle re-enactment. OK, I admit, the battle itself is not all that fascinating to me; although I'll probably enjoy it - *if* I can see it (crowds!). But the camp demonstrating the way of life in the mid 1800s (including authentic costuming) I find interesting. I like to see them showing spinning, weaving, cooking, metal working, basket making, and other skills that were a way of life 150 years ago but are pretty much rare and specialized now.
I think we will be really really tired by tonight! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The sun is just up over the trees, and my whole back yard is blindingly bright gold. It's going to be such a nice day, sunny and around 70. Sometimes I wish I had the nerve to play "hookey" from work! LOL!
Last night I finished laundry, and did a small amount of straightening. I flaked out early, tried to read and got too sleepy. :)
Tonight my niece will be here, and I have no idea what we'll do - other than get things ready for an all day historical event excursion tomorrow. :)

Good Morning! Thursday March 18, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a bit overcast, though it's early and not full daylight yet. It'll be mostly cloudy all day, maybe even a chance of a shower; but mid to upper 60s! Nice. The gardens and flowers and stuff can all use the rain now. :)
I got a little burst of ambition (probably pent up stress, but at least I put it to good use! LOL!) ... got 3 rooms decluttered and a lot of things put away. Then I watched the results show. There were no big surprises, and I'm not at all disappointed with who went home.
I am, however, glad it's down to only 2 nights a week! LOL! Tonight will be catching up laundry, and more straightening up before the weekend. I also hope to find time to play with the sewing machine a bit more. It's similar to my old one, but a lot of new things I have to learn about it too.

Good Morning! Wednesday March 17, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. We're already past the "cool" spell, and warming to upper 60s today. We didn't actually get much (any) rain, and today most of the clouds will be gone, leaving us sunny and breezy. Perfect spring weather! :)
Last night I got some more sorting and organizing done. I tackled an aggravating project ... sorting spools of thread. Silly things just keep tangling, no matter what I do! LOL! But, they are where they belong for now; and I practiced a bit on the new machine. I sure have a lot to learn there!
I watched AI of course. It's harder now to "choose", though my top favorites are still the same. Some that I liked before were disappointing; and some I didn't choose were surprisingly good.
I have no clue who will go home tonight! LOL!
Don't forget to wear GREEN today! :)

Good Morning! Tuesday March 16, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a little cloudier than yesterday, and today will be cooler. There may be a shower or two, though from in my office I won't know anyway. Yesterday was nice, and today will be much the same but cooler.
My class last night was interesting, though most of it way over my head! LOL! I keep hoping something will manage to sink in and stay ... though I have this theory that I only have so much space; if I learn too much, I also forget too much. :)
I did manage to do a little bit of organizing and decluttering; hopefully in a few days I'll be to where I can actually sew! :) I'll work at it a bit more tonight while watching AI. I think it's no more boys and girls nights now, just the countdown from the top 12. I have favorites, so will see how they do!

Woods in the Morning, Overlooking Lake

Good Morning! Monday March 15, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. The forecast is for a mostly sunny morning with clouds thickening by afternoon. Right now, it's a bit cloudy, but with lovely streaks of pinks and golds ... and the bright orangey sun just visible through the trees. It will be low 60s, which is quite reasonable for mid-March. :)
I had a perfectly wonderful weekend with family. It's always hard to leave and come back here to go to work. Some of you may remember the "curtain project" from last winter. We thought we'd have a repeat of that ... but it turned out there were already curtains that were just pefect for the space where they were needed! I only had a tiny bit of hand-sewing to do. YAY! LOL! I came home with lots of extra thread, so I really have to hurry and get my sewing space organized so I can get busy again.
Tonight, of course, is business class; but maybe I'll get a little done when I get home.

Good morning!! It's a wonderful morning. It's still grayish and drippy ... but it's NOT cold! LOL! It will go into the upper 60s today, and this spring weather - rain and all - is just glorious!
Last night I managed to watch the AI results show. There were no huge surprises. I will say as of right now, my top favorites are Crystal and "Big Mike". I also got laundry caught up, and I think I have everything packed. It's not like I need to take everything I own for one quick weekend! LOL!
My husband brought me home a brand new sewing machine ... and I was much more interested in playing with that than anything. Next week, I will absolutely get sewing done!! :)

Good Morning! Thursday March 11, 2010

Good morning!! It's a wonderful morning. I think it's cloudy ... can't really tell because of all the fog! LOL! But it will be another lovely warm day, mid or upper 60s. It may rain some this morning, and probably will more this afternoon. You can start to see things greening up with these rainy days!
Last night I did a little cleaning (OK, very little! LOL!), put a few things up. But that's all. I keep saying I want to get back to sewing, but I seem to have some major organizing to do in order to get there. Right now I don't have a plan (unusual for me!), so I guess that's what I need to focus on.
I watched the guys sing last night. Most of the favorites I picked last week are the same; overall, they did a much better job than the girls. I haven't decided if I'll watch the results show tonight (I usually don't bother). I have a lot to do - laundry and packing for the weekend. So, will see how the evening goes.

Good Morning! Wednesday March 10, 2010

Good morning!! It's a beautiful morning. Even though it will be cloudy and cooler than yesterday, upper 60s is not a bad day! It looks like we may have some rain coming ... NOT snow! ... and that will make gardens so happy. I've seen lots of daffodils blooming, so I'm excited to see what decides to come up in my yard.
Last night for some reason I was so tired ... maybe the weekend catching up or something. I managed to watch AI (only really liked one girl!), and then went to sleep. I feel fairly rested this morning, so must have needed it! :) Hopefully that will carry over to tonight and I will do the things I thought I would do last night. The guys sing tonight, but not until a bit later.

Good Morning! Tuesday March 9, 2010

Good morning!! It's a beautiful morning! Oh my, up into the 70s today!! And it's looking like the whole week will be nice and spring like weather. This is so very welcome after an unusually cold winter. We know there will be more cold days ... but hopefully, now, fewer of them, and not *so* cold. Flowers are coming up, and it's time for planting more of them! :)
My class last night was interesting as always, but a bit scary. I have come to the conclusion that the banking system simply doesn't make sense! LOL!! I was so tired I didn't even read.
Tonight I hope - again - to do some prep working on a sewing project, and then sew while AI is on. I sure haven't been at all productive over the winter; it's time to get busy and finish projects!

Good Morning! Monday March 8, 2010

Good morning!! It's a beautiful morning! It's going into the mid 60s today, bright and clear. Too bad I'm stuck in an office ... may have to go out at lunch time just to walk around. LOL!
Yesterday was a very busy day, though not like I expected. We didn't do any more than walk around the yard and dream about what will go where ... and find all the lovely new sprouts pushing through. We went shopping (mostly window-shopping!) ... managed to get to 4 places before we were too tired to keep going! It was a really fun day.
The "last tree" (sadness) is upstairs now. The only thing left to do is dig a box out from under the bed and change out pictures on the walls. I'll probably do that tomorrow night before AI (class tonight).

Good Morning! Sunday March 7, 2010

Good morning!! It's a beautiful morning! It's bright and clear, and should be very mild. I fell asleep before the weather last night, but I believe into the lower 60s today. YAY! I really hope to get a few outside things done this afternoon.
Yesterday I did really well. I got my errands run, and a lot of cleaning and decluttering done. Almost all of the Christmas and Valentines thngs are now back upstairs, packed neatly away in numbered boxes. I still have the one (undecorated) tree to go up. And, I have to see if I can get a box out from under the bed to change out the pictures. I put out my few St. Pat's things too; and in another few weeks, that will become Easter & spring.
I don't know what's on the schedule for today, other than the outside stuff. I do hope I'm as productive as yesterday ... sure is easier for me with lovely warm sunny days! :)

Good Morning! Saturday March 6, 2010

Good morning!! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear now, and will warm up into the low to mid 50s ... which will be wonderful after the long chilly stretch we've had! I've always been better able to get busy and productive when it's sunny. My house tends to be dark, so any day that's not bright makes it tend toward dreary. Those of you who know me know how much I love my many lamps! LOL! Today will be wide open doors for a change, and lovely fresh air blowing away some of the winter staleness. I have a lot of projects and errands planned ... I hope my energy level keeps up with my ambition! :)

Good Morning! Friday March 5, 2010

Good morning!! It's a beautiful morning. It's still chilly out, but bright and clear. It will be in the upper 40s ... maybe even 50 ... today; and in the 60s by the weekend! I know, it's still not "spring" yet ... but we won't argue with a taste of it for sure! LOL!
I managed to get a few small decluttering chores done last night; but mostly, watched AI and then read. The shows I usually like are mostly reruns. I still want to get back to sewing ... just waiting until it warms up a bit more. I do have a small heater in my room ... but ... my hands get cold, and that makes it sort of hard to use the sewing machne! :)
Tonight I need to work on laundry, and try to clear all the junk out of one last storage tub ... this weekend, the snowmen get packed up.

Good Morning! Thursday March 4, 2010

Good morning!! It's a wonderful morning. It's still cloudy, but will go up to around 50, and possibly we'll start getting sunshine by late afternoon. Almost all the snow is gone already. It was a very pretty snow, and surprisingly "soft" ... and melting away. I know we may still see some winter weather this month; but spring is definately on the way!
Another chilly night, and I (mostly) watched the girls sing. I guess I wasn't all that impressed, as it didn't hold my attention. There were maybe 2 or 3 I really liked. I probably won't watch tonight, as I don't care enough yet who leaves! LOL!
Anyway, tonight is catch up laundry and other misc. chores night ... and unless it's all reruns, some good (to me) programs. :)

Good morning!! It's a gorgeous morning! Everything has a bright shiny coat of winter white. Yep ... it actually snowed here! Color me amazed! LOL! It looks like we got about 2 to 2.5 inches. According to the news the main roads are mostly ok. I've not heard any traffic out here yet; the road looks slushy ... I hope it's not icy. And of course ... life goes on ... we're off to work and doctor appointments.
Last night I finally actually watched AI, to hear the "top 10" guys. I have picked my 5 favorites, so will be interesting to see how they fare with the voting off.
Tonight, the girls sing. Today will only go to the low 40s ... so unless it magically warms up, I won't get much done! :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's gray out, but not all "that" cold. The forecast is for a partly sunny morning, and clouds and rain by afternoon, leading into snow by tonight. I doubt we'll see that, it's not cold enough. But, we'll see ... this time of year (winter morphing into spring) you never really know.
My class last night was more interesting than it should have been. It was all about statistics ... but he showed us some fun things that can be done with Excel. I think I need a class just on Excel! LOL!

Good morning! It's a gorgeous morning. It's bright and clear, and will warm up to mid 50s today. But then, they're saying clouds start rolling in this afternoon, rain tomorrow, maybe even snow by tomorrow night. Looks like it might be another "north of me only" event, if it happens. That's ok too now - it's March! :)
In the end, I got a lot done yesterday. Everything "Christmas" (except the one tree I'm having trouble making myself take down! LOL!) is upstairs, mostly in boxes, all neatly labeled and on a master list. My kitchen is mostly neat and organized (a few "trouble spots" I still need to tackle). Laundry - 2 more loads yesterday - is all caught up. Now all I have to do is get my mornings organized so I don't run late every day! LOL!
