Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's starting out bright and only a few clouds, though more will be coming in. Highs around 50 today make it a pretty normal December day; more rain by tomorrow probably.
Yesterday was a great day! Not only did my nieces come to visit, but my sister and her whole family! I loved every minute ... my only "regret" was that no one was able to stay late enough to see my lights come on. And, a Huge thank you to my BIL, who helped with several of the outdoor things. I might have gotten done - eventually - but his help meant it all got done before dark! YAY!
The house is clean and (mostly) decorated. Laundry is caught up. Dishes are done (but one that has to soak). Tonight ... I think I'll just do nothing! LOL!

Good Morning! Sunday December 6, 2009
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! All of yesterday's clouds have gone away. It will be pretty chilly - probably upper 40s - but the sun is shining! It will be a good day for getting that silly tree upright, and for doing the finishing touches to the outside. I also have company coming (YAY!!), so a few little things to do inside - like clearing clutter so there's a place to sit down! LOL!
Yesterday we braved the weather and went to the parade. It was a lot of fun. There was not a big crowd (not only watching the parade, but also on the floats - a few were even completely empty! Sad!), but the bands were great, the queens and princesses smiled and waved (and so did the politicians), the clowns were funny, the cars were loud .... it was everything a Christmas parade should be! In the last few minutes, it did start to rain a bit, but not too hard, and we were very near the end of the route.
After the parade we did some shopping ... and came home really tired! LOL! But, a good night's rest, and I'm ready to start over today.

Good Morning! Saturday December 5, 2009
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! Well, ok, it's chilly and damp ... but the early rain has stopped, so the day still may not be a complete wash out! LOL! In December, well, you pretty much take your chances day by day. It's all good - we need the rain too.
Last night we decided at the last minute to go to the Benson parade. As parades go, this one is sort of ... um ... wimpy! LOL! It lasted barely over half an hour ... and that included be interrupted by THREE trains! But, I met up with a friend from work, and it was fun anyway. Afterward we went to our favorite place to eat ... and found out that a LOT of parade-goers had also discovered it. We've never seen such a crowd; but the food was just as good as always. From where we were seated, I could watch the guy in the kitchen making pizza dough - fascinating!
Today we're going into Dunn. Whether or not we see the parade may depend on just how hard it's raining at the time. It may be an interesting day! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It will be chilly, mid 50s today, and clouds moving in as a storm builds for tomorrow. I was hoping for a better forecast for tomorrow; but it changes often, so maybe it won't be too bad! LOL!
Tonight I'm thinking about going to a parade. The one tonight, in years past, has been quite unimpressive ... but even a mediocre parade is better than none, right? :) I probably won't decide on the parade tomorrow until the last minute. Of course, the one tonight will be "last minute" too ... barely have time to get home from work, get DH, and get back into town!
I may change my mind again at the last minute. I've been known to do that! LOL!

Good Morning! Thursday December 3, 2009
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Yesterday we had lots of storms move through, lots of wind and rain. Today the "front" has moved across, and left us a lovely late fall day. It will be around 60, mostly sunny, breezy - a very nice day indeed!
I did get a few things done last night. I put the finishing touches on a few small gifts, and some decluttering here and there. I still have some tree decorating to do, but I think that will be done over the weekend. For anyone who lives close enough to me, by next week my house will be "open" for anyone who'd like to visit. I'm thinking one weekend (as soon as I find out which weekend I'll be home) I'll have a more "formal" open house, and maybe request donations for the local food pantry. I still have sewing and baking to do ...

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. The rain is back, it's gray and wet and chilly (might even get storms later) ... but it's December, so it's ok! LOL! I do rather hope it won't rain Saturday (for the Christmas parade, one of the few I'll actually get to go to). It's sort of hard to guess, as the forecasts have been so up and down, and changing almost hourly. Well, it is what it is. :)
I did get laundry done last night, and wrote some overdue letters. But not much else. I'm beginning to think I'll have bare trees this year! LOL! Well, they're up, have some decorations, have lights ... and are pretty. I guess I won't worry over much about the rest, just do what I can. I do need to move on to other things.
