Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and bright already, with only faint traces of mist. It's back into the low 90s today (although we actually made it there yesterday), no sign of rain yet. Between Sunday and yesterday everything got a really good soaking; but will need it again by tonight.
I had lots of "good intentions" for yesterday, but didn't get a lot of things done. The chairs are finished (note, I did not say *I* finished them! LOL!), the laundry is done, and I got enough groceries to make it through the week. I tried to work on organizing paperwork, but couldn't stay awake for that! LOL!
Hopefully tonight will be more productive, there are a lot of things I need to get done! And, TV will be reruns, so not so much distraction. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and bright, and just a touch breezy. It will be upper 80s, with low humidity, so it will still be a lovely day to be outside. The 90s are on the way back; but we get this holiday first! :)
Yesterday was a pretty lazy day. I got laundry caught up; and I managed to drag some of my fall decorations out of the "attic". I worked on sorting some paperwork, sewed a little bit ... and that's about all. Oh, and most of the things outside got watered!
Today I will try to make up for what hasn't been done yet. I should be cleaning the porch and doors; I don't know what will get done. I have to get myself back in a "mind-set" to go back to work tomorrow. Three long weekends in a row has really spoiled me! LOL!

Good Morning! Sunday September 5, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and bright and breezy, and altogether gorgeous. Today will again be mid 80s. Even though this won't last, it feels so much like fall. :)
Yesterday was very busy; but in the end, I did accomplish the few "important" things I needed to get done. We spent most of the day roaming around antique shops and flea markets. I even got some Christmas shopping done! Jimmy had a busy day too ... it took him 2 hours to untangle the rug he got hung up in the lawnmower! (trying hard not to laugh here!) We decided last night was a good night to go to our favorite restaurant. :)
Today will be busy. There are lots of things I need to do (like watering!!) to take advantage of this brief spell of lovely weather. It will be a great day to turn off the a/c and open the doors too. I also need to finish up the "routine" things (that I probably should have done yesterday), so that I can begin to tackle "The Plan". Good Morning! Saturday September 4, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's a bit later than "usual", and the sun is shining brightly; plus, there's a bit of breeze. It's only going to mid 80s or so today. This will be a perfectly gorgeous day, just what "fall" should be! LOL! I know it isn't true fall yet, but it always seem like it *should* be in September. Fall is my favorite season; it makes me think of colorful leaves, mums, a nip in the evening air, smell of wood smoke, crunch of leaves. I know we're not done with the heat yet (a few more 90 plus, record-setting days to go at least), but I'm really looking forward to milder weather soon.
Last night I got laundry started, and a little bit of straightening done. Today, I'll be busy, but in a fun way. I'll be picking up a friend and then meeting up with other friends at an antique mall to browse and dream (and occasionally find a really good bargain!). Later we will probably check out the hughe indoor flea market down the road. Hopefully we'll get back later this afternoon and finish fixing my dining room chairs (I've lost the screws to attach the seats, so will have to get those while we're out!).
This weekend is also "kick of" to my "getting ready for Christmas" plan. Those who know me, know it's a bit late this year (usually starts in August). For the rest of you (and we have several new readers, whom I welcome!), hang on for a fun ride! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. There are still a lot of the heavy clouds that moved in by yesterday afternoon; but as the storm moves on north, it'll clear. We are predicted to have another record-breaking hot day, nearly 100. They're saying relief over the weekend (but we're still heading for a record number of 90 plus days for the year, with more to come next week). This has been a very strange summer; we're not officially in a drought, but it sure feels dry. Watering again tonight!!
Last night I worked more on paperwork than anything else ... gearing up for Christmas organizing. Those of you who have been here a long time know that's how it works! LOL! This year I'm going back to (losely) following the Holiday Grand Plan (a Yahoo group). This weekend is the time to get notebooks, calendars, and supplies assembled. Hmmm ... have to actually get OFF the computer to do that! LOL!! Tonight I may or may not work on laundry, and finish putting the guest room back together. I don't really need it any more; but you know, I'm always hopeful! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The usual morning mist is there; perhaps it's there most mornings, but daylight is coming later now so I see it more often. It will burn off quickly, as today will be low 90s and mostly sunny. It's very strange to know there's a huge hurricane hovering off shore, and not knowing what it will do; but it's lovely and clear and hot here and we won't feel much if anything from Earl.
It appears there's an end in sight (though temporary) to the 90 plus days. Some rain sure would be welcome though!
Last night I didn't do as much as I thought I should have (well, when do I ever? LOL!); but a bit of sewing, a bit of clearing hot-spots.
Hopefully tonight I'll have found some energy ... although, with a holiday weekend coming up ... maybe not! :)

Last night I didn't do as much as I thought I should have (well, when do I ever? LOL!); but a bit of sewing, a bit of clearing hot-spots.
Hopefully tonight I'll have found some energy ... although, with a holiday weekend coming up ... maybe not! :)

Good Morning! Wednesday September 1, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Just a short time ago it was completely foggy looking; it's starting to lift now. Everything is still gray, but I can see the sun shining through it. Eerie and beautiful! LOL! It's going to be another mid 90s day, but with less humidity. We're watching Earl closely, but I think where I am we'll have little or no effect ... not even rain.
We have now officially had the hottest summer on record (that being since they began keeping such records ... I think in the mid 50s). That is counting June, July, and August as the summer months (yes, I know, it's not "technically" correct). I don't remember the count, but way more days in the 90s than not! I am really ready for fall now! :)
Last night I did nothing. Really. I was so tired ... I barely stayed awake to see NCIS! So perhaps today I'm a bit more rested, and tonight will get some more sewing done. I really want to get some sewing projects done, so need to get b
