Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear so far, though may be partly cloudy later. It's very cold; high will only be mid to upper 30s ... and it's quite windy right now.
Yesterday: I had a very busy day, trying to get caught up with things, get unpacked and "settled", and figure out all the things I still need to do! I got laundry done, a minimal amount of straightening, and some errands done. I am so grateful for my "little elf" who just keeps right on decorating for me! :)
Today: I still have some catching up to do, and more errands to run. I still have Christmas shopping to do, and groceries to buy, and gifts to wrap. I'm hoping tonight to get to a Festival of Trees to see all the pretty trees and get more ideas! LOL!

Good Morning! Monday December 6, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and bright, and perhaps not quite as cold .. around 40 today I think; meaning probably low to mid 40s here.
Yesterday: We didn't end up going back to town. After church my DIL worked on decorations instead. In the evening I went to their "small group" get together with them. I enjoyed that.
Today: We left DS's house by 7:15, and I was home by 9:00. Now I'm catching up a bit of laundry, and have a lot of bills to pay and errands to run. It's going to be a busy day for sure.
I love visiting DS & family, but I'm glad to be home again too. :)

Good Morning! Sunday December 5, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear, and perhaps not quite as cold as expected. Last night's moisture is pretty much gone, and it looks to be a lovely wintery day.
Yesterday: We had a fun-filled busy day with a surprise ending. In the morning, my DIL and I went to a craft fair. There were a lot of beautiful and unusual items. Some people are SO creative! :)
We did a little bit of shopping .. some things were very expensive, but we found several nice and unusual items that were very reasonable.
We came home, grabbed a quick lunch, and all (5) of us headed back to town for the parade. It was not big, but nice, and we just had a really good time laughing and waving.
Then we walked through town to some of the lovely shops. A lot were closed by then, but we stopped in a few, and did a little bit more shopping. While we were walking around town, a few snowflakes started drifting down!
As it got dark, we walked over to the waterfront park, where we had a great spot to sit on the steps and watch the flotilla. While the boats were going by, it started really snowing hard.
How totally amazing that was ... I had know it was snowing to the west, nearer home; but we are near the coast! It was so beautiful. Towards the end of the flotilla it began to be more of a rain mix, so we had to head home.
All in all it was a busy and wonderful day!
Today: I had thought I was going home today; but DS would rather take me in the morning before he goes to work. So, I don't know what today will hold. I believe we'll go to their church this morning. Possibly we'll go to some local B & B open houses this afternoon. Or, we might even go to another craft show. Whatever, it'll be fun. :)

Good Morning! It's a wonderful morning. The sky looks a bit "milky" right now, and there's a possibility of precipitation by tonight.
What kind is anyone's guess; but I'm guessing frozen rain! :) It's going to be very cold ... feeling Christmasy weather!
Yesterday: I had one more quiet day here alone. I found things to do: washing dishes (not many since we had eaten out), laundry, re-organized my suitcase.
Mostly I played on the computer and watched HGTV (Christmas specials).
Today: We're going to have a full day now. We're going to a craft show, a parade, and tonight the flotilla (boat parade). And who knows what else we might find to do in between! LOL!

Good Morning! Friday December 3, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and sunny, and very cold! The forecasters here (2 hours from home) are saying the "s" word for Sunday ..
just "a few stray flakes" .. but I really don't believe that will happen.
Yesterday: I had another quiet day, just me and the dogs and the bird. The dogs slept all day, and then got crazy when everyone else got home! LOL!
Last night we went to the middle school Christmas band concert (my DGD is 1st flute in 7th grade Intermediate Band - I might have mentioned that before? LOL).
I totally enjoyed the whole performance (unlike some rude people, we did not leave early). Afterwards, we went out to a Chinese buffet - yum!!
We got back here and found out one of the dogs had raided my suitcase for something to chew up. Hmmmm.
Today: So far this is another quiet day. I find a few things to do .. fold some laundry, wash a few dishes. Mostly, I just watch TV, read, play with the computer.
If I were at home I'd be finding a lot of things, and sewing - it's kind of hard to do nothing! :) Tonight we're supposed to go on a trolley ride through historic New Bern.
I'm looking forward to that, even though it will be cold!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear; the clouds seem to have blown away. It's very cold .. according to the forecast, will be upper 40s at home.
Since I'm nearer the coast right now, it may be a bit higher .. but still very chilly. It's December, it's supposed to be cold! :)
Yesterday: Once I got "settled", it was a very quiet day. I played on the computer, read, watched TV. When everyone got home from work and school .. it was still pretty quiet. :)
The grands had big hugs for grandma ... and then disappeared into their rooms! LOL!
Today: This will be another quiet restful day. The dogs mostly nap until afternoon, and then we'll play the "out-the-door-and-back-in-again" game. I have to be careful that the little one doesn't get under the fence and run away.
I'll find a few things to do around here, and mostly just read and watch TV. Tonight is the school band program, and I'm looking forward to that.

Yesterday: Once I got "settled", it was a very quiet day. I played on the computer, read, watched TV. When everyone got home from work and school .. it was still pretty quiet. :)
The grands had big hugs for grandma ... and then disappeared into their rooms! LOL!
Today: This will be another quiet restful day. The dogs mostly nap until afternoon, and then we'll play the "out-the-door-and-back-in-again" game. I have to be careful that the little one doesn't get under the fence and run away.
I'll find a few things to do around here, and mostly just read and watch TV. Tonight is the school band program, and I'm looking forward to that.

Good Morning! Wednesday December 1, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It started off gray and rainy, but it's already working on clearing off. It also started warm, but it's supposed to drop during the day, and be quite chilly by this afternoon.
This is not totally bad, as we need rain; but wow, was there ever a lot of fierce wind last night!
Yesterday: I was really busy, even though it was also mostly cloudy. The rain held off until dark, but it was very bery windy. Still, we got most of the outside decorating done. There are just a few things left that can't be completed in the wind! Last night I got laundry caught up, and packing done.
Today: I got up nice and early, and we (DS & I) left the house by 7:15. I'm now at his house, he's gone to work, the dogs have settled down, and it's peaceful and quiet. Today I will do a few little things around here to help out; work on a scheduling project; and just be generally lazy. :)
