Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and bright for today, but very cold and windy. We do get cold, of course, but it's usually not until January or February. Seems a lot of the country is in the grip of this extreme cold spell. I do hope all my friends here are able to keep warm and safe!
Yesterday: We got a later start than I hoped, and left DB's house just after 1:00. We went a "long way" home to go by my DS's house, and visited a little. We also stopped for dinner ... after a brief stop at the grocery store, where I decided I did not care to join the melay that was going on there. The "S" - if we get it - isn't until Thursday; but you would have thought it was any minute! LOL! When we got home I got the car unloaded ... and that's it! It was very nice, however, to come home to more of the decorating done, and 2 doors "unstuck". (thanks to my elf and her gnome! heehee)
Today: I've got laundry going, and a package wrapped that needs to go in the mail today. I "plan" (y'all know how that goes! LOL!) to spend the morning getting at least some areas of my house organized. There are still gifts waiting to be wrapped (more came in the mail while I was gone). I hope to bring the last tree down, and only that and one very small one remain to be decorated. This afternoon I'm going to brave the cold and try to finish up shopping.

Good Morning! Monday December 13, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear, but very very cold. I think today is actually forecast to be mostly cloudy; but for the moment at least, they're not here.
Yesterday: We had a lovely day. Everyone slept late and was lazy all morning. In the afternoon we rode to Old Salem, and I got to go into a couple of shops. When we got back here, my brother grilled a fabulous dinner for us. After dinner he rode us around to see Christmas lights ... in the snow!! It was just beautiful! Then we watched a cute (Disney) movie.
Today: We have to head home today. It looks like a lot of last night's snow has blown away (very windy!). I haven't gone out yet, but from the window it doesn't look like the roads are too bad. It'll be late morning, close to noon, before we leave. I hope to make a stop by my sister's house, and be home (and unload the car) before dark. :)

Good Morning! Sunday December 12, 2010
Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's been raining, though it isn't just now. I think maybe it'll be in the upper 40s today, and the rain end before afternoon.
Yesterday: We had a lovely day. Everyone slept late, so it was afternoon before we even got out to do anything. I rode with DB and DSIL to put a cover on the (30') camper ... that was an interesting project, to say the least! LOL! Then we ran a few errands before heading back here. We had thought to do a candlelight tour of historic Old Salem; but it was sold out. So, change of plans ... we rode to Reidsville (a little over an hour) to tour Chiqua Penn House (not sure I spelled that right). It is fabulous! I hope to get to go again in spring to see the (extensive) gardens! We stopped for pizza on the way back, and then everyone crashed early. :)
Today: This afternoon is supposed to be the Lewisville Christmas parade. It's supposed to stop raining by then, so we may try to watch that. We might ride around to see Old Salem ... wait and see on the getting out anywhere part! LOL! It's so lovely to have the extra time, so we don't have to rush home tonight like we've always had to (and I'm completely ignoring all the unfinished stuff waiting for me at home! LOL!).

Good Morning! Saturday December 10, 2010
Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! It's very gray out, but not as cold. I think rain (or worse) may be a possiblity in the next day or so; but temps in the upper 40s or even 50s mean pretty much rain. I don't think we have a lot of "outside" stuff to do, so it doesn't matter too much. :)
Yesterday: We actually got away from the house pretty much on time, and went (3 hours) to my DB/DSIL's house. We got here in time for lunch, and then just sat around relaxing for the afternoon. Last night we had a minor bout of "excitement". We had planned on going to a certain restaurant. We got there and the parking lot was empty, no exterior sign lights. But .. the inside lights were on. My SIL walked up to the door ... which was unlocked ... but not a person inside! Strange!! We checked next door, the manager sent someone over to check it out, and then called the police. We waited until they got there, told them what we saw, and we left. I wonder if there will be something in the papers??? Anyway, we went elsewhere and had the most wonderful wings! And then he took us through the light park to see the displays (hour wait in line to get in! Yikes!). It was a lovely evening.
Today: Everyone slept late, and we're all being lazy. I think we might go out later ... maybe to a historic site, maybe some shopping ... and maybe nothing! LOL! Whatever we do, it will be a nice day, and so relaxing to just forget about all the things undone at home! LOL!

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's not yet light, but the forecast for today is for upper 40s and mostly sunny. It looks like maybe more rain (maybe even "S"???) might be coming later in the weekend; that's a "wait and see" for sure!
Yesterday: With all the running around I had to do ... pay bills, pick up prescriptions, etc. ... I didn't get nearly as much done at home as I had hoped. Still, it's looking much better. I still have a "hot spot" in the living room I have to figure out what to do with; but I have one room "complete" and Christmasy. LOL!
Today: It's very early because I hope to get an early start traveling. I'm mostly packed, just have some "last minute" stuff to throw in. In just a few hours I plan (you know me and my "plans"! LOL!) to be on the road. :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. The cold air is (temporarily at least) moving on; today will be mostly sunny, and a bit warmer with low 40s. This has been such a strange year of record highs and lows! Some "normal" will be nice. :)
Yesterday: I played a lot of the "hurry up and wait" game, but in the end I did manage to get a few things accomplished. Some cleaning got done; some laundry, some gift wrapping. Sadly, the "big" tree could not be resurrected (like a horse, it has a broken leg and had to be shot! LOL!). I did some re-arranging, and will make some more changes next week. In the end, I will like the arrangement better anyway. :)
Today: This will be a very busy day. All the errands I didn't finish all week have to be completed; a few gifts have to get final touches; and I really need to get as much as possible cleaning and decorating finished. Tonight I pack .. yay! :)

Good Morning! Wednesday December 8, 2010
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and sunny again, and will be a tiny bit warmer: mid to upper 30s. Maybe it will even get up to 40! Wow, if the wind would just stop blowing out here, we might even get the last few outside decorations done. :)
Yesterday: It was a busy day for sure. I worked all morning on trying to straighten what I could in the house (lost cause, as my "big" tree committed suicide! LOL!), and worked on some wrapping. In the early afternoon I had an important errand to run, and didn't get back until mid evening. Then a friend and I went to see a Festival of Trees (there must have been at least 3 dozen trees, each one different and unique, all gorgeously decorated. If any of my readers live at all near Smithfield, NC, you really should try to see those trees ... Health Center ... today is the last day!), and then we went shopping for a few "odds and ends" and some groceries. By then I was so tired, I know I forgot things! LOL!
Today: I have one more day of running around doing errands and paying bills. Hopefully on the way home (or just after I get home) I can pick up the things I forgot last night. I guess this afternoon will be spent trying to reconstruct that silly tree! LOL!
