Good Morning! Wednesday August 3, 2011

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's already quite warm, but bright and clear. We'll have another really hot day, maybe even up to 100; but then they *say* the heat will back off and we'll even get some rain! For today, hot and dry, and the sprinklers are going!
Yesterday: For being a dialysis and work day, I did pretty well. I decided to tackle one little project. It sort of "mushroomed" into a much bigger project! LOL! But, I have a couple of boxes of donations, and I found places for all the storage totes. Now I just have to find places for everything else! LOL!
Today: The only thing I have to go "out" for today is to go pay the rent. I hope to put some good time into my on line class this morning, and then finish my cleaning project this afternoon. That's very ambitious, but I have a goal in mind; and besides, I just want it done! :)

Today is "National Night Out" ... "Independence Day (Niger)".

uotes of the Day:
"There are plenty of good five-cent cigars in the country. The trouble is they cost a quarter. What this country needs is a good five-cent nickel."
-- Franklin P. Adams

"The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it."
-- Terry Pratchett

"Today's public figures can no longer write their own speeches or books, and there is some evidence that they can't read them either."
-- Gore Vidal

"Ever tried? Ever failed? No Matter, try again, fail again, Fail better."
-- Samuel Beckett

In 2004, the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor was reopened to the public.
