Good morning! It's a itbeautiful morning. It's bright and clear, and already hot! Yesterday we set high temp records - but it's sort of irrelevant, because there were over 1200 records set/broken all over the country!! Wow, talk about a heat wave. And today will be even hotter, projected high of 107 (and it's usually 2 or 3 degrees higher where I live). It's a good day to NOT be outside!!
Yesterday: Even with the heat, some things have to get done. I did get my nails done (well, inside the shop was cool! LOL!); picked up a refill, and got change for the vendor show. When I got home the new a/c had already been delivered. By late afternoon it was all installed .. and set on arctic!! Wow, after 12 years, I can now use my oven in the summer! LOL!
Today: I have a vendor show today, and my grandson is going along to help out. During the show, he can go swimming. We're hoping the excessive heat will bring lots of people out, either to swim, to shop in the air conditioned building - or both! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's going to be an extraordinarily hot day ... possibly as high as 106. There's a very real possibility we will be breaking all kinds of heat records this weekend, including highest ever recorded at the airport. Today should be mostly clear, but humid (giving us heat indexes of up to 115!)
Yesterday: I actually had a spurt of energy, and got a few things caught up. Unfortunately, it didn't last very long! :/! I went to town long enough to take grandson back again. I got the shower curtain and bathmat washed and dried them out on the line - took about 5 minutes! LOL! I also managed to begin getting supplies organized for the weekend.
Today: This could be a very busy day. I hope to sneak out this morning and pick up some refills, and *maybe* get my nails done. I have to finish organizing my supplies, and bag up some more samples. This afternoon a new a/c (window unit) is being delivered. That was a big expense not exactly planned on - but with record breaking heat, it feels like a necessity. We have an old one that is too small and on it's last gasp. I will have to get someone to come help get it installed, but sure do hope the weekend will be more comfortable. I might even bake brownies (for samples) tonight! :) My grandson is coming back again to go with me tomorrow to help out. Lovely!!! :)

Good morning! It is a beautiful morning! I went out very early to get sprinklers reset, and it was so very nice. Today will be hot, mid to upper 90s. The humidity will stay low, and it will be sunny. The heat is building up though - dangerous heat, all over the country.
Yesterday: I got a few things done around the house, though never as much as I would like. DH's appointment took way longer than it should have, and then we had a few more stops to make in town. (DH bought me a pretty - lovely copper spinning sprinkler!!). We came home briefly; then while he took a nap, I went back (different town) to pick up our grandson again. We went to the grocery store (HOW could I have forgotten what it's like to feed a teenage boy??? LOL), and got lawnmower gas. He finished mowing, and then got out the tiller and helped my friend finish the last garden area to be planted. I got tired watching him! LOL!
Today: I'm not even sure how today will go. Grandson and I tentatively plan to get the rest of the trash from the porch all bagged up; and finish decorating the patriotic tree. I'll take him back to his dad this afternoon, and hopefully I'll run the vacuum when I get home. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and bright and cool out right now. Today will be mid 80s, clear, and very comfortable. Watch out! Triple digits in the very near future, so we'll try to enjoy today!
Yesterday: I ended up spending most of the morning getting appointments straightened out (overlapping just won't work! LOL!). The day got an early start between the phone and some workmen repairing some of the siding (with no warning, of course!). My grandson mowed part of the grass, but we'll have to get more gas. He also helped me take a huge load of recyclable cardboard as well as trash to the dump. I spent a little time in the yard with a friend, admiring the gardens and wondering what to do with the huge ugly stump left in the yard. (BTW - just in case you were wondering - spray paint doesn't work very well on pine bark! LOL!)
Today: DH has an appointment with the dialysis nurse. While in town I need to check with the drug store again on refills - seems like some things are pretty low. And, I have to replace a sprinkler that got run over (sort of explains why one section wasn't getting watered! LOL!). Tonight I'll get my grandson again so tomorrow he can finish the grass. :)

Good morning! It is a beautiful morning! The few days of 90s we had are gone (although they're coming back with a vengeance in a few days); today will be a gorgeous sunny and upper 70s to low 80s. Even the humidity is gone. Last night we had storms move through, so lots of lovely rain!
Yesterday: It ended up being a fairly busy day, but all the important things got done. Meds were picked up, groceries bought and put away. The satellite dish was reinstalled, and the supplies delivered. And, I managed to wash up some dishes, put away some laundry, and do a quick declutter - barely! LOL! I did have a nice quick visit with a friend, too bad there's not enough time to do that more often.
Today: This might turn out busy too. My grandson is here and will cut the grass (and I'm catching up all his laundry); and the "gardener" may come and work on the big veggie garden since it's so much cooler. I'm supposed to go visit a SIL later - she has blueberries for me. In between all that, I hope to get the house in better shape! :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a little overcast, but not too bad (yet). Today will be low 90s and humid; and there's a chance of storms by afternoon.
Yesterday: Among other things, my ipad wouldn't let me send the newsletter. Probably something silly I did wrong! LOL! Anyway, after a long frustrating day of waiting, DH finally got to come home. He's doing ok; though we both got here really tired - you just don't *sleep* in hospitals! LOL!
Today: We are now back to our regularly scheduled newsletter! :) I have to do a bit of "catch up" running around - picking up refills, groceries. Supply delivery is due this afternoon, and the Dish guy is supposed to come too. After over a week with no TV, we're ready for it back - hoping the weather doesn't interfere with that!! :)

FYI: Christmas is 6 months from today! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Wow, summer really blew in full force! After several weeks of relatively mild weather, now we're Hot!! Today will be in the low to mid 90s; plus partly cloudy, so the ever-present chance of afternoon storms.
Yesterday: Most of my day was spent sitting around waiting - for doctors, nurses, therapists (who never came), PAs, NAs, and assorted other people. Some of the rest of the time I wandered around hospital halls - just to keep my blood circulating! LOL! DH is doing better; the infection is almost completely gone. He has to build up a bit of strength, but we're really hoping he'll go home tomorrow. We're also taking advantage of the situation to have a nephrologist checking on the dialysis daily and determining if any changes are needed.
Last night, fairly late, I came back home (in a storm - not fun!). I nuked something to eat, and me and the cats crashed. Literally. Maggie finally did what I've been afraid of all along - she fell into the fish tank!!! It only has a couple of inches - but she was NOT happy!! LOL!!! (she's fine, just a bit smelly right now! LOL!)
Today: It felt SO good to get a shower this morning! :) I've got laundry going, and just as soon as I get that done and a few odds and ends around the house, I'll be heading back to Duke. The only obstacle right now to DH going home is being able to get up and walk enough to get around the house when he gets home. Since the therapists don't seem to be available, it'll be myself and a nurse or aid walking with him. So, I want to get there as soon as I can (just can't figure out how to make the washer and dryer go any faster! LOL!).

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It seems when I "wasn't looking", it got hot! LOL! Today will be mostly sunny, and mid to upper 90s! There's a (small) chance of afternoon storms, which also means it'll be humid. Welcome summer! :)
Yesterday: I apologize, again, for missing a day. The day was spent mainly just sitting around. I did read a lot; and I enjoyed a (too brief) visit with a niece. DH still has an infection, but is improving. I came home late last night (and DGS came with me) to "regroup".
Today: I have a lot of things to get taken care of. When the landlord fixed the septic lines, the crew turned the gas off. So until they can send someone out, I have no hot water (so much for my long leisurely shower this morning! LOL!). And, I have to get the Dish guys out to reset the satellite dish. I also have several appointments to cancel. Hmm .. did I *think* I was coming home to rest?? LOL!! I will be going back to be with DH either tomorrow or the next day. So if I miss another day or two, I apologize in advance. :)

Good morning! The forecast for today is "mostly" cloudy; but right now it's bright, only faintly overcast. It should be warmer, maybe upper 80s. It'll be more humid, but there's actually very little chance of rain.
Yesterday: It was decided that DH's infection could be best treated by the doctor's that regularly see him anyway. He's at Duke getting antibiotics. I divided the day between talking to doctors and coming back home. My DIL drove me (SO nice!!), and DS & the kids came, and we all went out to dinner.
Today: In just a little while I'll be heading for Durham to get the latest information; hopefully we'll all come on home this afternoon. I also need to finish unpacking and getting the house back in order. Cats are worse than kids when left alone too long! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's starting out cool and clear, and will only go to low 80s today. There may be a few "high" clouds, but it will be mostly sunny and not very humid - a really lovely day!
Yesterday: As y'all know, things rarely go the way I plan! LOL! So yesterday morning DH wasn't feeling well. Turns out he has an infection and needed some antibiotics. Unfortunately, it took all day to get that figured out! So, the day was spent mostly - as usual - waiting.
Today: Later today we'll be heading back home. Even though the weekend didn't quite turn out like we expected, it has still been nice to be able to get away from the house and visit with family some. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! The weather today will be very nearly perfect - partly cloudy, upper 70s to low 80s, and less humid. This is how summer in NC is supposed to be! :)
Yesterday: Once again, I had a confusing day of running errands. I got them all taken care of; and came home to a big mess. The landlord is having to replace all the drain lines from the septic tank ... and to accomplish that, they've cut down four huge old trees. That's so sad, and the house looks odd now. Once they finally finish, I'll have to completely reseed my front lawn; but I'll also have a new place to plant something pretty!
Today: I'm rushing around, trying to get everything I need gathered together and loaded. this afternoon we're going to DS & family's house for the weekend. I am SO looking forward to getting away! It would be nice if the digging crew was done before we got home - but I don't think that will happen! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear for now, although the forecast is for "partly" cloudy this morning turning "mostly" cloudy by this afternoon. We may get showers or sprinkles; but it'll be much cooler, only upper 70s. I really don't know if it's "global warming" or "el nina" or what - but we sure have been setting a lot of statistical records these last few years!
Yesterday: As always, a day with doctor appointments is very busy. The morning appointment ran unusually late, so we ended up going straight to the afternoon one (which had requested he come in as early as he could - so we were there as soon as they got back from lunch!). The ortho discharged him - no more boot!! - ankle healed nicely. Then we got some lunch, and headed on home. We picked up DGS13 on the way, and he has been extraordinarily helpful! We got dinner from the grill, and had a quiet evening.
Today: Again, I have errands that have piled up. I sure was looking forward to one day at home, but it just isn't going to happen. I'll try to get a few things (other than "routine") done before I leave. My DGS13 has already gone out and cut grass (Nice!), and is looking for more helpful things to do! I'm sure I can find things. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's very nice to see sunshine after 2 cloudy days. :) Today will be warmer, upper 80s, and a bit humid. It is supposed to be "variably" cloudy (as opposed to "partly" cloudy?), and a chance of showers - mostly in my direction. Yesterday we didn't get but a few sprinkles, so who knows!
Yesterday: It was a bit of an odd day. I needed to meet a friend in the afternoon to pick up an order; I thought DH would enjoy getting out of the house, other than a doctor appointment! But, the PT called (with NO notice) that he was coming, so DH stayed home. I took a load of trash, met my friend, and then got groceries. That pretty much wiped out my day! LOL!
Today: As so often happens on Wednesdays, today is a round of appointments. DH has a routine follow up with his PCP, and then in the afternoon he goes to the orthopaedist to check on his ankle (which is healing well we think). While we're out I'll probably swing by Wal-Mart; and I think we'll end up eating out tonight. :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! Yesterday was cloudy all day, and periods of heavy rain all afternoon. Today looks like it will be more of the same. It will be "cooler", low 80s; but the humidity will make it feel warmer. The good news is - we are no longer in a drought!! LOL!
Yesterday: I did not get nearly enough done. It was one of those strange days where things are just "out of kilter". The OT came to see DH (but he wasn't feeling well so she didn't do much). The plumbers came back - evidently the hole in my front yard isn't big enough, so they are planning to dig up the entire yard. :( But, they had to work in the rain! LOL! They also left their big backhoe blocking the driveway, so the supply delivery had to come across the rain-soaked front yard (around the hole). With so much going on - it was so easy to not do much around the house! LOL!
Today: It's humid and gloomy and I doubt I'll get much done today either; but I will try. This afternoon I'm supposed to meet a friend to pick up something she made for me. I'll take trash to the dump and get groceries while I'm out (although if it's raining, I won't get more than I need for a day or two!). :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's fairly heavy overcast, but not raining (yet). Today will be not as warm, in the low 80s; but will probably be humid. There are chances of rain, but mostly to the west.
Yesterday: I must have been more tired than I thought - I mostly took the day "off". Unfortunately, housework didn't do the same! LOL I got a few things done, so the day wasn't a total loss. And I read a lot! :)
Today: A new morning, a new week. Even though the overcast day makes it harder, I hope to be a lot more ambitious and get more "routine" cleaning done, and spend a bit of time working on "project" rooms. I finished the book I was reading, maybe I won't be tempted to just read for awhile! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It looks like today will be the last nice day before another round of stormy weather; but they've been wrong before! LOL! We're expecting upper 80s, maybe even low 90s, higher humidity, and "partly" cloudy.
Yesterday: I had a long and busy day. I was the first one to arrive to set up for the vendor show (and we had a very nice venue). Once again, we did not draw a lot of customers, but a few anyway. It was fun, and I met some new people and might even have some future parties booked. It was pretty hot by the time I got home, so after unloading the car the rest of the evening was mainly just relaxing! :)
Today: I really hope to get some of that cleaning done that I haven't gotten to all week. I'm already off to a late (i.e. lazy! LOL!) start, so I don't know what I'll accomplish; but I sure hope something. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's early (for me), and looks a bit overcast; but the forecast for today is mostly sunny. It'll be warm, upper 80s to low 90s; and the humidity is back. But, it'll be a nice summer day!
Yesterday: Wow, I was busy all day! First thing in the morning the plumber came to check out a problem. Then I made a quick trip to town to the bank and PO. I brought my friend over here to play in the dirt, and I went to (a different) town. I picked up some supplies, and returned the wheelchair. I got a hair cut (well, just a trim really), got groceries and unloaded them. Then I went back to the first town and got nails done. :) Then home again to pick up DH & DGS, and then met up with more family (7 of us altogether) to try out the new Char-Grill. (I am not all that impressed!)
Today: I have a vendor show this morning (and I'm already running late! Yikes!) I have no plans for the rest of the day, will just wait and see what happens. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! Today will be a bit warmer, possibly mid to upper 80s; but mostly sunny. There's always that "chance" of afternoon showers, but it seems slimmer today (and yesterday, when they originally said it would be rainy, was totally gorgeous!)
Yesterday: I had several "Must Do" errands, and I did get those done! Yay! Plus, had time for a very brief family visit, which was very nice (even if the baby didn't recognize just how Great a great-aunt I am! LOL!). Late last night our grandson came over, so getting to enjoy more family. :)
Today: I'm going to be awfully busy. I'm supposed to go to a graduation (one of my "bonus grands") this morning; but the plumber is on the way over. The grandson who spent the night is going to cut grass today. I need to pick up supplies at the dialysis center, and return the wheelchair (no longer needed, yay!) plus keep a hair appointment. And, I need groceries. I'm already dizzy just trying to keep up with myself! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! The sky is faintly milky, but bright light is coming in the window. It'll be upper 70s to low 80s, but at the moment it's very comfortably cool and fresh. Today, again, we have chances of afternoon showers or storms.
Yesterday: It was a very long day with both sitting around waiting and having to roam around the clinics. DH had 2 appointments plus routine "labs" - so no tests, no serious faced doctors saying "you MUST do" this or that! :) By the time we left, we hit most of the evening traffic, so just came straight home.
Today: I've gotten a little head start this morning while it's cool, getting a few jobs done around here. I hope to be reasonably productive today. I also plan to go make an overdue delivery, perhaps while DH has PT going on. And *maybe* nothing unexpected will come along to derail my plans! LOL!

Good morning: It's a wonderful morning. Today looks like it'll be pretty much a carbon copy of yesterday: mid to upper 70s, mostly cloudy, scattered showers. We had a few showers, even one fairly strong storm; but not enough to turn off the sprinklers! LOL!
Yesterday: I was, yet again, more on the lazy side. We had DH's morning appointment (which was actually a "group session" and lasted much longer than expected), but then came straight home. I did some things that needed to be done (laundry, cleaning some "hot spots", a little general straightening); but mostly I read and even did a bit of sewing.
Today: This is another all-day clinics day. DH has 3 appointments (actually scheduled so that 2 overlap - guess they'll figure it out! LOL!), so it will be late afternoon before heading home. If we get out early enough and traffic isn't bad, I may make a stop to deliver some chocolate and have a brief family visit. Or, we may just stop to eat on the way and then go straight home; it'll depend on timing and, as I said, traffic. :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. At the moment it's overcast; and will be a bit cooler today, mid to upper 70s. The forecast is for a "mix of clouds and sunshine", and widely scattered showers. Hmmm ... it might be cloudy, it might not; it might rain, it might not. At least we know it'll be cooler! LOL!
Yesterday: I had a fairly busy day, with getting cleaning stuff done in the morning and errands in the afternoon. DH had a busy day with 2 different therapists coming. And, my garden is coming along nicely with a lot of weeding done. :)
Today: This morning DH has a regular "follow up" appointment. Right now I don't know what the afternoon will bring. He might decide he has to go somewhere since we're out; or we might come on home and I can work on my current "project room". Or maybe sew - doesn't everyone have at least a dozen different projects in progress?? LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. For now the sun is peeping in and out, and the forecast is for "partly to mostly" cloudy. It'll be a bit warmer, mid to upper 80s, and breezy. There's the possibility of those afternoon showers again.
Yesterday: I had the 2 "bonus" grandsons most of the day. It was odd having little boys around again; but they're good and there were no problems. I even managed to feed the "picky" one! LOL! I still managed to get one project done. Late in the afternoon we picked up a sack full of cheeseburgers and then took the boys back to their mom, and got to finally see one of the GA grandsons a little.
Today: Since I did so little over the weekend, and didn't finish my room project last week, I hope to continue on that. I also have errands to do - some things (like rent!) just can't be put off! LOL! I think DH's PT might be coming today (I don't know that they have an actual schedule in place yet). I'm sure there's something else I'm forgetting ... oh wait, I have to mail and deliver some chocolate! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. For a second day, we're starting out with glorious sunshine and cool temps. Today might be just a bit warmer than yesterday, upper 70s to low 80s. But there's still low humidity and almost no chance of rain.
Yesterday: It turned into a bit of a confused day, but all worked out. Two of the "bonus" grands came over by early afternoon. A lot of weeding got done (not by the boys! LOL!) - and the first produce of the year was harvested, a big handful of huge radishes! We took the boys out for pizza; and later in the evening blew up the air mattress for them to bed down.
Today: Today is also "up in the air". The boy's mom is supposed to come get them, but I don't know what time. And really, I don't know what will happen today or when. We all know I *prefer* to have "A Plan"! LOL! But, if there is no plan, then what ever happens doesn't disrupt it! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Although the morning started out a bit overcast, it's now mostly clear and bright, and cool! It feel wonderful outside now, and today will only be upper 70s to about 80. Not too humid and not overly breezy makes for a really lovely late spring day!
Yesterday: I got a few of the things on my never-ending "to-do" list done. The PT came to work with DH a bit, but cut the session a bit short. Late in the afternoon some strong storms moved through. We didn't get the worst of them, but did get a lot of rain, wind, and hail.
Today: I'm not really sure what I'll end up doing today. Several different things have come up; but then, I don't know what will or won't work out. I won't plan much on my list, because I don't know if I'll be home or who might be here. Have I mentioned I prefer Plans? LOL!

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. There's a strange mix of sun and clouds at the moment; and earlier it was thundering. The forecast is for upper 80s, and possibility of strong storms by afternoon. On the other hand, if the morning cloud cover hangs around, it could suppress the strength of the later storms. So much as I'd like to see some sunshine - today, clouds are good! LOL!
Yesterday: There were, as usual, a few glitches in the day, but for now it's all ok. My computer was "acting up"; so I contacted a Geek. He did solve the problem - but he also "took over" my computer for most of the day for upgrades. One new program got erased, but I can re do it - just will take awhile; probably not today! LOL! I managed to get out and take a load of trash, get gas in the car, pick up some refills, and get dog food. So, I more-or-less productive day. :)
Today: Right now I'm not sure what I'll get done today. This odd weather makes me "antsy". A PT is coming sometime this morning to work with DH on strength a bit. I think mostly I'll try to work on some sorting projects - several more book cases and trunks that haven't been gone through in a long time. When I open them I might figure out why! LOL!
