Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. Today should be low 90s; and though the forecast is for "partly" cloudy, right now it's completely overcast. There's a chance of afternoon showers or storms - it sure looks like it wants to rain now! LOL!
Yesterday: I intended to get the week off to a good start. I sorta missed on that! LOL! I avoided going out since I was waiting for phone calls that never came. Oh well, it's OK. I did get a bit of cleaning and organizing done. I also spent a lot of my day watching Olympics. Since that only happens every 4th summer, I don't even feel guilty! :)
Today: I will try to get some of yesterday's errands done. I have a load of trash already in the car, and will get the rest this morning. The Dish guy is on the way now, to (hopefully!) fix the disfunctional TV in the den. I need to make appointments for the phone company to fix or replace the non working line; and, much as it irritates me, I'll have to give in and call an exterminator. Not only have I lost the battle with the ants - now we have acquired fleas as well. Eeeewww!!! They were tracked in from outside; but the poor kitties are NOT happy. Besides taking trash, I need a grocery run. Hopefully, by late afternoon I can be watching Olympics again. :)

Good morning: It's a beautiful morning. At the moment there's bright sunlight streaming in the window. When I stepped out on the porch earlier it was very comfortable (not humid yet). Today will be low 90s, and partly cloudy with possible afternoon storms.
Yesterday: After a bit of a slow start, the day ended up surprisingly busy. A friend came over (he had previously fixed a small problem with the lawnmower) and cut grass for us; my friend came with him and played in the dirt (weeds). :) Then later our DS, plus entourage, came over. He installed a new-to-me ceiling fan in the living room - it's wonderful!! His girlfriend did laundry, and we visited and watched Olympics. I made a quick run for KFC for all of us. I ended up staying up too late (why do they wait SO late to show the gymnastics??)
Today: I actually have no idea how today will go! The Dish guy is supposed to come today or tomorrow to fix one TV. The PT is coming this afternoon. At some point I need to take a growing pile of trash to the dump. Oh yeah, and I probably ought to do some cleaning! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's gonna be another hot day, but "only" low to mid 90s. :) While there's always a chance of afternoon storms in this heat, apparently today they'll be less likely. Last night storms moved through .. I think we only got the outer edge (a LOT of lightning but little rain).
Yesterday: I stayed busy most of the day getting things organized for my vendor show, and doing a small bit of general straightening. I did a bit of sewing, and watched Olympic events off and on (love to watch the swimming). My DIL and I did the vendor show last night. It was actually the best one yet, in terms of "foot traffic" and getting my name/business "out there". We did have to close up early though, due to storms.
Today: I hope for a more relaxed day, but have already gotten quite a bit done. I haven't sorted all the chocolate stuff yet, but some at least. I think one DS & his girlfriend, her kids ("bonus" grands!) will be over ... hoping we can sneak out to a flea market later. Think all those guys would notice? LOL!

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a bit overcast, but I see bits of sunshine off and on, so the cloud cover is thin. Today will be hot again, upper 90s, and humid. There is a small chance of later afternoon storms. Yesterday there were some severe storms north of me, and one tiny little "blob" that was mainly a lot of thunder here. We did get a little rain, and actually have a better chance today.
Yesterday: I ended up not going out after all. I decided I could make do with the change I have, and it was just too hot. :) So instead a mopped the kitchen, and worked on sorting and organizing my chocolate supplies. Last night I watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony, and enjoyed it!
Today: This might be a busy day, but it's too soon to tell. I have a vendor show tonight ("Ladies Night Out" in Coats - anyone in my neck of the woods is welcome to come out and shop!). There are a lot of little bits and pieces to be done to get ready, as well as the day to day things. I get to see family tonight, Yay! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear, and already quite warm. Today's "official" high is 99, which means here at home it will most likely be triple digits again. We didn't get any storms yesterday, but today is, again, a possibility in the afternoon.
Yesterday: I made a schedule ... and actually accomplished most of it! I got some laundry done, the house general neatened, and so forth. In the afternoon I got some errands done (but forgot one thing I needed to do! Drat! LOL!). I even got home in my projected time frame; fixed dinner, and the "usual" evening routine. :)
Today: Other than one quick trip (I forgot to go by the bank to make sure I have change for the event - optimism at it's best! LOL!), I plan to mainly concentrate on getting things ready for the show tomorrow night. I'm making up a few things to have samples for tasting. Tonight I will be up way too late - because I just love watching the Olympic opening ceremonies! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Today, finally, is bright and clear - and will be super hot! We'll be back to triple digits for a couple of days before settling into "normal" summer 90s. There's only a very small chance of storms today.
Yesterday: The morning was fairly busy. After DH's appointment, we went by DSs shop. It was right at lunch time, so after a bit of juggling around, we went to lunch. We also dropped a few things off at his house before coming back home. The afternoon was very quiet! :)
Today: Did I say no more errands? WHAT was I thinking? LOL! I still have to make a quick run to town. I need to pick up some refills (weren't ready until yesterday afternoon - and we know no one is allowed to pick them up Early!!); pick up a painting commissioned for my chocolate business; get change for the weekend's show. And while I'm in town, I might as well get my nails done, right? (well, maybe) LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Today will be a little "cooler" than yesterday - only low 90s! LOL! The forecast is for partly cloudy and small chance of afternoon showers. Yesterday some severe storms passed over - we actually got a lot of rain along with the wind, thunder, and lightning. But evening it was calm again. Right now it's a bit "milky", so really no telling what the day will bring!
Yesterday: I got a few things done around the house, then took trash to the dump. Then I went to town to finish the errands not done on Monday. On the way home the storm started - Wow! A bit scary, but made it home safely. A friend came over to try to fix the lawnmower - bad timing! LOL!
Today: DH has his weekly nurse appointment. Other than that, there actually are NO plans. Wow, how did that happen? LOL! I think perhaps this afternoon will be a good time to start pulling together things I will need for a vendor show this weekend. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! Last night's storms (and there were many) have swept away the clouds, for this morning at least. It'll be upper 90s today, and some of the clouds will probably be back - with scattered showers - by afternoon. But for now, it's gorgeous out!
Yesterday: We got off to a slow start, once all the early morning stuff got done. Also, the PT came at an odd time, which put DH exhausted and napping when it should have been lunch time. But, I managed to get out and do some of what I needed. It was an early night for us too - storms kept knocking out the satellite signal. :)
Today: I'm getting caught up on some stuff (mainly laundry) this morning. This afternoon I'll take a trip to town to finish the errands I didn't get done yesterday. Perhaps I'll work on a list of all the things around here I've NOT been getting done - so I can spend my time making lists and still NOT getting them done! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The clouds have (mostly) moved on out, and today will be back in the mid 90s. We didn't get much rain yesterday, just a brief shower. Yay for sprinklers! :)
Yesterday: Although it was sad for our DGS to have to go home, the "transition" went smoothly. The "bonus" grands got a day at the beach so they were happy. I did a lot of little things, but didn't really concentrate much on anything. It seemed really quiet here - even though it was really quite normal! LOL!
Today: I think this afternoon might be a little busy. I need to go get pet food (didn't have room in the car when shopping Saturday!), return a dress, and try to get a window blind (for the bedroom window that is now too bright since those trees got cut down!). I have, at least, gone around and done a bit of general straightening; and the supply delivery has already come. It's time to ease back into a "regular" routine, that doesn't include grandkids. Well, not as much anyway! :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! Right now it's overcast, but not "dark and gloomy"; in fact, the sun is peeping out off and on. It will be hot again, low to mid 90s. Today will also be mostly cloudy with on-going chances of storms - so humid too. Yesterday we got more rain - the gardens are happy. So are the weeds! LOL!
Yesterday: After a bit of a slow start, it turned into a pretty busy day. I got trash together, and recyclables, and had to toss them in the car between showers. After dumping the trash, I picked up a friend and her kids, and we went shopping. Mainly it was grocery shopping - sure was funny trying to load everything in the car. One little fellow had to ride home with a giant pack of TP in his lap! LOL! After dropping off her groceries and mine, we got pizza! :)
Today: Right now, I really don't know what today will hold! It's the day my DGS has to go back home; and possibly his dad and girlfriend and a bunch of kids will all go to the beach for the day. If there's time, we might go pick up the furniture from the flea market. If not, I will be working on re-organizing my sewing area. Off and on! LOL!

July 21, 2012
Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. Today will be cooler - "only" upper 80s! LOL! It's overcast now, and will stay this way probably most of the day. There may be periods of showers, so we're finally getting the rain we need. It started late last night - we even had storms over night!
Yesterday: My day started out nice and slow, but then it suddenly got crazy. I got a call around noon to "come quick, DGS had a seizure". OK, first of all, he did NOT have a seizure. He had gotten a cut, and several things combined, he passed out. It was over very quickly - before I even got there - nothing to show for it all but a headache! :) But that sure got my day jump-started! LOL! So DGS & his dad stayed with DH, and the girls went to a flea market. That was fun, although Very hot. Later we all came back here and I made spaghetti. By the time everyone got sorted out, it was a late night. :)
Today: I'm playing "hooky" again. I'm skipping the meeting today - I can get the information I need later. Plus, this week's been so crazy I haven't put together the sample packs I need yet. Oops. :) Later this afternoon I need to do "regular" grocery shopping. I'll probably take the girls (and the little boys) so that DGS and his dad can have some last "alone" time before DGS has to go home. I'm off to a good start though - dishes done, most of trash bagged, laundry going. Maybe by tomorrow I'll even get some ... *gasp* ... cleaning done! LOL!

July 20, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! Today will be yet another hot day, upper 90s - though maybe not as high as 100. There's a better chance of scattered afternoon storms. Last night we got a bit of a sprinkle - a bit more would be welcome! :)
Yesterday: Wow, it was a busy day! The phone guy was here first thing in the morning; and now 3 of 4 outlets work. The other will need to be replaced - but that will take half a day, so can wait. Then I had to rush to get DH up and both of us ready; and remember everything that had to go out the door! After his appointment, we picked up some refills; stopped by the medical supply to finish some paperwork (that *they* forgot! LOL!); then got some lunch. I took DH home for a nap, and I went back to town and finally dropped off boxes of donations! I got a haircut, and stopped by a store to pay for an order. When I got back home, we had about an hour to "regroup", then picked up the rest of the family. We all went to Wal-Mart and got portraits made of the guys (3 generations, 2, and just DGS). Then we all went to a buffet to eat dinner. And, after all that, they came back to our house, and the girlfriend gave DH a shave. :)
Today: Since DH has had issues with very low B.P every morning this week, we decided to postpone his appointment for today. There's not another time slot available until September, but we're on the call list in case of a cancellation. So instead, everyone (else) gets to "sleep in" this morning. :) Possibly later this afternoon - if DH if feeling ok - I may get to run out for a little while to a flea market!! It's a bit hot for that, but I sure do want the "break"! LOL!

July 19, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Today will be a lot like the last few days: upper 90s, mostly sunny but with scattered chances of afternoon storms; and very humid. I'm still waiting for some rain!!
Yesterday: Once again, a very busy day of trying to get things done. The PT held us up by coming an hour later than he said; but the phones were dead, so he couldn't let us know. Then we went to 4 or 5 different places, but no one does shaving any more. Poor DH is SO fuzzy! LOL! We went on and got the trash sticker, so one more annual thing out of the way. It was too late by the time we got home to do anything else, so we just had a relaxing evening.
Today: So far the phone guy has already been here - and 3 out of 4 phones now work. One line is dead, but that will have to wait for another day. DH has a nurse appointment (and the phone guy coming has made me running late!). Later I have a hair appointment, and hope to drop off those donation boxes. If it's not too late, I'll pick up DH, DS, DGS, and go get some pictures made. We'll probably all eat at Western Sizzler (or something like that). I think our DGS will come back, as this will probably be the last chance for him to come visit with us (and will have to take him back to his dad Very early in the morning!) :)

July 18, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Today's forecast is practically a carbon copy of yesterday's - upper 90s, mostly clear, and a chance of afternoon storms. Yesterday we had one spell of thunder, and that was it. I doubt we'll get rain today, but maybe by the end of the week.
Yesterday: I spent the morning taking care of a few spots around the house, cleaning the kitchen, etc. The PT came for a brief session with DH. Later, after he'd had a rest, we went into town. We picked up DGS and then they both (finally) got haircuts. While they did that I found the UPS office and got a package sent off. After I picked them back up, we went and got the car inspected. Yay, that's done for another year. Once we got home, I did the license renewal on line. Later I took DGS back home, and DH and I got dinner from the grill.
Today: It may be yet another busy day. PT will be coming again this morning (being the only day for the rest of the week DH doesn't have doctor appointments). Then we're going to try to find a different barber who can give him a shave (believe me, he does NOT want me trying to shave him! LOL!); and go onto to (a different) town and get the trash sticker renewed. Too many things all fall in July! LOL! I'm hoping (if that stuff doesn't take too long) that later this afternoon I can take DGS and his dad to get a picture taken - we're running out of time before DGS's vacation is over. If the timing doesn't work, I'll have to "settle" for taking pictures. Digital is good - portrait is better! :)

July 17, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. I'm not sure where I got the notion we'd have a few days of 80s and rain ... clearly I was wrong! LOL! Today will be upper 90s, maybe even triple digits again. There's just a small chance of afternoon showers. Thank goodness the sprinklers are back in service! :)
Yesterday: The problem with the pump got fixed, and a lot of the morning was spent getting baths, washing dishes, catching up laundry. Then I took DH and DGS to town for haircuts. Oops - closed on Monday! Who knew? So instead we went to McD for lunch, then left DGS with his dad. I made a quick stop at the grocery store and we came home. The rest of the day was spent recovering from being out in the heat! LOL!
Today: Like all of this week, this is lining up to be a very busy day. The PT called to come over before DH was even out of bed. It would be nice if there would be a set time and day, but apparently they don't do that. This afternoon we'll try again to get the haircuts done. Whatever else happens will depend on how long the haircuts take. :)

July 16, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear; and though it will warm up to low 90s, right now it's quite comfortable. As always, there's the chance of afternoon showers or storms.
Yesterday: It was a very odd day here. Even though there are a zillion things that can be done without needing water, just not having it made me not want to do anything (or at least, that was a good "excuse", right? LOL!) I didn't end up going out, but what water was needed came from my stockpile of bottles. I did some sewing, but having trouble with my machine (or with my eyes??) - may have to take it to a shop. My DGS did come here last night. :)
Today: First of all we're waiting for a plumber or mechanic or whatever. LOL! I don't know who fixes mechanical things on a pump. After that - well, after getting baths and dishes washed and laundry done - I think *maybe* we'll all go to town so DH and DGS can get haircuts! Without a time frame, I guess that's enough to plan. :)

I didn't end up going out, but what water was needed came from my stockpile of bottles.

July 15, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear so far, and the forecast is only for partly cloudy with small chances of "widely scattered" storms. It'll be summer-hot, in the low to mid 90s. The long range looks like we're coming up on a week of 90s and storms .. we need the rain for sure!
Yesterday: The meeting went very well, and more people than expected showed up (traditionally, there have only been 2 or maybe 3 - we had 4!). The silly cats, of course, were a nuisance (and when every one left, they took naps!!). In the end I didn't go visit the landlord. I did some sewing, some reading, some emailing. In the evening a friend came over and told me what is wrong with the water pump (simple, but still need to contact the landlord first thing in the morning to get it fixed). It was pretty much a lazy day. :)
Today: I expect it'll be a bit more of the same. I will have to go out at some point and get more gallons of water (and sure am glad that I tend to "stockpile" things like that!! You just never know). While there are always "projects" to work on, I'm ready to just sit back for a few weeks and settle for maintaining the house. So, today I'll probably mostly sew (other than a trip to the store), read, maybe even (*gasp*) turn on the TV! LOL!

July 14, 2012
Good morning! It's abeautiful morning. We had a week long stretch of record breaking triple digits. Then a week of 80s and storms. Now it looks like we're bouncing back to "normal" (whatever that is!). Today will be low 90s, and only partly cloudy with chances of afternoon showers.
Yesterday: With help from my DGS, we got a lot of things done. He did a great job of cleaning up around the porch! We went out to run a few errands (mainly pick up refills and a few groceries). Then we were home for awhile - with a storm passing over!. A friend dropped by, that was fun; but she didn't stay long. Then we went back to town and set up a bank account for DGS before he went back to his dad.
Today: I'm having a meeting here later this morning (about the chocolate business). After that, I expect I'll go pay a visit to the landlord - we have NO water!! That may be a great excuse to not wash dishes (unfortunately, I have plenty of bottled water and can heat water on the stove); or not do laundry. But I sure would like to be able to take a shower! LOL!

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. Today will be mid to upper 80s, and cloudy. But, may not be much rain except possible afternoon showers. We got a lot of rain late yesterday afternoon and evening, so the gardens are happy! :)
Yesterday: It turned into a fairly busy day, with a lot of ups and downs. We had issues with the dialysis, but they are all resolved now. It was one of those odd days where the phone rang a lot. I communicated with several of DH's doctors and nurses, and got appointments scheduled. The one nurse came by to check the machine settings, and PT came by to see DH. Also, I ran into town to pick up DGS who is helping me a lot! Whew - by evening we were all ready to crash! LOL!
Today: This will be another busy day, but hopefully more organized and not confusing. I have a list (of course!) of things to get done - and DGS has already done all of his stuff and part of mine! LOL! There are errands to run, refills to pick up, so as soon as I get myself pulled together we'll go get those done. :)

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's still "cooler", mid to low 80s. It's also still heavily overcast, with probable showers and storms all day (especially afternoon).
Yesterday: DH came home! Yay! We actually were able to get everything taken care of fairly early. We would have been home by shortly after noon - except that we got caught in the traffic from an accident. But at least I didn't have to drive in rain. :) Once home, we mostly just rested. It sure was nice to come back to a clean house! :)
Today: This morning it's cool and gray, and I'm moving slowly. Later I will have to go out and pick up some refills; and possibly go pick up my DGS. There are a lot of things on the "to do" list for this month; but most of them will wait until next week. Right now we're in "coast mode"! LOL!

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's completely overcast; but with clouds come lower temps! Today will be low to mid 80s - a nice change from the 100s! It looks like it will be a bit rainy all day, but especially in the afternoon. Rain is good; after all that heat, we sure do need the rain!
Yesterday: After my morning round of errands, I dealt with the FedEx delivery/medicine issue (because some meds ended up sitting in an un-a/c'd warehouse over the weekend, the pharmacy elected to replace it) and taking care of a few things around the house - DGS and I went back to visit DH. While there I walked oveer to the pharmacy to take care of the med issue - what a hike that was! LOL! It took a full hour to get there and back - and that was only walking concourses from one building to another. We stayed with DH a few hours, and I had a chance to talk to a doctor. After the evening traffic and eased, and a small storm passed, we came on back home. DGS was ready to go back to his dad! :)
Today: I have some help coming this morning to get the house cleaned. I've already been up and gotten quite a few "hotspots" dealt with. I even found my kitchen table again! LOL! This afternoon I'll go back to the hospital. Since I know DH won't be coming home today, I'll spend the night (so don't be surprised if no newsletter in the morning!). That way I can be there early in the morning to talk to his doctors; and hopefully they'll be ready to let him come home by tomorrow. :)

Good morning! It's beautiful morning! After a record-breaking string of 100+ days, today will "only" be in the mid to upper 90s. :) There's a strong chance of afternoon and evening storms. Rain would be welcome.
Yesterday: I apologize for no newsletter (again). Saturday DH had some health issues, and to be on the "safe side" we took him to the hospital. Turns out his calcium is too high (did you ever hear of that? I sure didn't! LOL!). In any case, yesterday was spent waiting around in between bouts of talking to various doctors. When everything calmed down, I came home - and "crashed"! LOL!
Today: This morning I had an eye appointment, and had to run a few errands in town. I'm currently waiting for a FedEx delivery; and then I'll head back to Durham for the afternoon. I won't spend the night - I don't do anyone any good if I'm tired and grumpy! LOL! I'm hoping they'll get the meds and everything leveled out and let DH come home by tomorrowl but of course, as always, it's a guessing game. :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's "heat-pale" already, but quite clear and bright out. This will be yet one more triple digit day, with again the small chance of afternoon storms. We just have today and tomorrow of this, and then a dramatic change is coming!
Yesterday: Despite the heat, I had to do a lot of running around to get errands done. The car needed gas (imagine that! LOL!), and the local station was running out, so had to go farther. The rent got paid, the rest of the grocery shopping done; and all put up. I had to go back later to mail a package, and pick up grandson again. He likes being at our house now that we have a/c! LOL!
Today: The only errand left is to get trash bagged and to the dump. Hopefully I'll get more sorting done in my room while I have help! :) DGS and I want to do some shopping (farther from home) - maybe that will be a treat if the cleaning gets done. But so far, everyone is sleeping "in" this morning! :)

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Today will be in the low triple digits again (setting lots of heat records this summer & this year!!). It's bright and pale right now, and will be partly cloudy - and with the chance again of afternoon storms. Last night we finally got the edge of some storms, meaning some very welcome rain but without the severe winds.
Yesterday: DH had his morning appointment, and we made a refill stop at the drugstore. Then I took DH home (for a nap of course! LOL!), and DGS and I ran a few errands. I dropped him off with his dad and came on home - just too hot to do any more.
Today: I have to go pay the rent, and finish the grocery shopping (yesterday it was too hot to get the "cold stuff" too far from home. Today I'll go to a closer store). If my energy (and the a/c) hold up well enough, perhaps I'll continue working on a project area. Or maybe I'll sew or read! :)

Good morning! Or rather, good afternoon - my internet was "out" (no reason why, just unavailable) this morning. The high today should be low 100s - yes, triple digits again. And the "usual" chance of afternoon storms. Most of the storms have been north of me - some rain sure would be nice!
Yesterday: It turned into a fairly busy day after all. My grandson helped me clean the guest room and then start working on the sewing room. We got a lot done! Then we had family over for supper - take out fried chicken and barbecue! And, I got to see a few nice fireworks in the neighborhood (from the front door) plus watching a lot on TV.
Today: We've already been out to take DH to his appointment, and stop by the drugstore for refills. After some lunch, my grandson will go with me to run a few errands (while DH naps!), and then I will take him back to "visit" his dad! LOL!

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Even thought the sky is again "milky", it's very bright out. This will be another hot day (after yesterday surpassing predictions and being one more record-breaking triple digit day), upper 90s and maybe over the 100 mark again. It'll be cloudier, with a chance of afternoon storms.
Yesterday: Other than going out to retrieve the kitty from the vet, I did push myself to get out and take a load of trash to the dump. And, I was on the porch long enough to hang up some bunting. :) Otherwise, I busied myself with indoor stuff. Which is not to say I was very busy! LOL! Even with a/c, when it's so hot out it gets uncomfortably warm inside if I'm busy doing anything very active. Good excuse not to do that, right? :)
Today: Happy Birthday America! So today I have no clue what will happen when. I will get the "routine" stuff done - dishes, clean the bathroom, general pickup. Some family (a lot of kids! LOL!) are coming over at some point in the afternoon. I'm not going to try to cook, so will go pick up fried chicken and barbecue. Tonight I plan to watch fireworks on TV - just have to decide what channel; or flip a lot between Boston, DC, and New York! :)

July 3, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Though the forecast is for the day to start out mostly sunny, it's actually a bit "milky" looking. We got a break from triple digits yesterday, and might today - not that upper 90s is *that* much better! LOL! The afternoon should start clouding up, with slight chances of showers, so it will still be humid today.
Yesterday: Once I got home from taking Butter to the vet, I really didn't get a lot done. I "flitted" around from place to place, and finished up a few previously begun projects.
Today: I'll leave soon to pick up the kitty and bring him home. I will have to take a load of trash, and then go to the grocery store. Other than that, I have 2 areas in the house I need to tackle, so hopefully my energy/motivation level will hold up for at least one of them. :)

July 2, 2012
Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. July sure is starting off with a big bang! Today it will be "cooler", at only around 100 (or perhaps 102). Severe storms crossed north of me last night, but only a light shower here. The sky is "heavy" in places this morning; and there's a good chance of storms by afternoon again.
Yesterday: It was nice not to have to go out anywhere! I had a mostly lazy day ("recuperating from Saturday!) - but I actually managed to get quite a few of the little random things done that have been piling up.
Today: Early (for me) this morning I took Butter to the vet. For the rest of the day I'm not yet sure what I'll do. I have a long list of "should" do of course! At some point I will take the trash I bagged yesterday to the dump. Hopefully I will tackle a few more areas that need cleaning. But wait. It's summer. I'm retired. Maybe I'll read a book! LOL!

July 1, 2012
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It seems a bit "milky" - might be just from the heat. This will be our 3rd day of record heat, with a predicted high of 105 (meaning possibly 107 here). The humidity is higher - possible afternoon storms - with a heat index of maybe 110.
Yesterday: It was a busy day, with way too much running around in the heat. My DGS and I got out nice and early and got to the vendor show with plenty of time to set up. It was a very nice venue. Sadly, the heat kept people in, except those who came to the swimming pool (same complex). We had a lot of "window-shoppers" in bathing suits and towels! LOL! At least it was nice to visit with some friends and make some new ones. After the show we had to load up, get home, and unload quickly to not have my chocolate in the heat any longer than necessary. After a bit of rest, I took DGS back to his dad, with a stop at KFC on the way. At the last minute DH didn't want to go, so I just delivered DGS and food, and came home by way of the Grill for 'burgers and 'dogs for us! :)
Today: I don't have any particular plans for today. I'm so far behind on cleaning I don't even know where to start. I might make a list of at least the most "critical" areas ... and then, of course, rest up from the effort of list-making! LOL!
