Good Morning! Wednesday November 25, 2009

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! Even though there are still some clouds lingering, I can see traces of brightness. By this afternoon it should be clearning. It'll be mild today, low 60s ... nice!
Today is our Thanksgiving at work. I am very thankful for a job with a good Christian company. And the one thing we do extremely well is eat!! LOL!! There will be a LOT of great food there today. My crock pot sweet potatoes will be on the table ... got them started last night, and they are crockin' away right now. :)
Tonight ... I may do nothing at all! LOL! Tomorrow is a holiday, and so far I have no idea if we'll see anyone besides each other; so I'm not planning a big meal. I will, however, work on finishing the decorating!

Good Morning! Tuesday November 24, 2009

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's still gray, but not pouring rain like yesterday. (we need the rain of course .. just not when I'm trying to get in and out of the car for work! LOL!). It's mild today, just like nearly Thanksgiving should be.
Last night we went to one of our favorite local places for dinner .... and I did nothing else (except watch Dancing With The Stars). Tonight I will be much busier. We have a dinner at work tomorrow, and I have to assemble my contribution. Well, I have to go to the grocery store first! LOL! And, the usual .. laundry, etc. And, while I haven't been watching the results show before, I think tonight I want to see who wins "Dancing". Hopefully, I will also find time to add a bit or two to my decorating; and reset some wacko timers! :)

Good Morning! Monday November 23, 2009

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a bit overcast, but not raining at the moment (it rained during most of the night). It will be cool today ... so it starts to feel like Thanksgiving is nearly here! Only 3 more days. Wow.
Yesterday was a nice day. I got all of my dishes and laundry caught up. Then we had a lovely visit --though too short-- with a niece and her fiance. They did some target shooting in the (huge) back yard, and we had a nice visit. Of course, I had to bribe her with sausage dip to come (LOL!! kidding!!). After they left, we just vegged out with TV (yucky reruns), and the left over ham from Saturday night made great sandwiches! :) Tonight, we go out to dinner (30 years today ... hard to believe!!), and maybe I'll get a few more ornaments on the trees.

Good Morning! Sunday November 22, 2009

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's bright and clear now, although they say a front will be moving through later, leading to possible rain by tonight. It's a bit cooler now; but it *should* be in late November! LOL!
We got all of the important things done yesterday ... and I could NOT have finished without my young friend who helps me! There's only one tree still to go up, but it can't go up until everything has gone up and down the stairs. All the trees up have lights and at least some ornaments. The house is reasonably clean (well, I did vacuum!! LOL!!) My gathering of friends for dinner and lights went well, and I'm so glad they all came. My friend's 2 year old grandson was so much fun (I have lots of stuffed toys that make noise!!)
Today will be much more relaxing. I have a few things I must do, but only a bare minimum. I will have more company, but they're mostly coming to see DH for some outdoor activity (although I may watch, just for fun).

Good Morning! Saturday November 21, 2009

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a bit early, and still misty across the back yard; but the forecast for today is just fne. It will be low 60s, clouds moving in later but no rain.
We got a lot done last night, including clearing up a lot of the clutter we were making as we went. I have a few cluttery areas to clean this morning. Then, we're going to do a few last-minute things and watch the Raleigh Christmas parade on TV. I just love a parade! :)
Tonight I'm having company for dinner (nearly everything is ready), and we're going to a local "show", Christmas lights, that get turned on this weekend (and off New Year's Eve). Good Morning! Friday November 20, 2009

Good morning! It's a gorgeous morning! It's bright out my window, and nearly clear (a little morning mist left, but it's quickly disapating). It's going to be mid 60s, sunny, less humid - just a wonderful fall day!
Yesterday's rain didn't start until I was on the way home. So, I came home to a lovely surprise ... since the rain had held off, my friend came over and almost completely finished the outside decorations! I am SO excited, I just love the way everything looks. I wish I could take a good night-time picture. So, anyone that can, come visit ... everyone else, use your imagination! LOL!
Tonight we'll pretty much finish up inside. The inside big tree is mostly together, and just finishing touches needed everywhere else. Well, I'll keep adding those, probably right up to Christmas day! LOL!

Good Morning! Thursday November 19, 2009

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! It's still cloudy, but it'll be a fairly warm (nearly 70) day. We might even have thunder storms this afternoon ... very odd this time of year. Sadly, the weatherguy says it's not *really* (or even pretend) winter, so thunder won't be a sign of snow coming! LOL!
I got a lot done last night. I didn't have help (weather too yucky out), but I did pretty good on my own (for a change! LOL!). I got several areas straightened out, a few boxes emptied, and just in general things are looking better. Tonight I should have help, and I think we'll get a lot done (even working around some of my favorite TV shows! :) )
