Good Morning! Monday May 9, 2011

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! There are a few lingering clouds, but it's mostly sunny and will be around 80ish today. Yesterday's rain never happened, and it doesn't look like much chance of it today.
Yesterday: I had a somewhat lazy morning, and didn't get much excep a bit of laundry and dishes done. My step-son brought me some flower (bulbs). :) My "surrogate daughter" took me out to lunch, and we did a bit of shopping. Late in the evening my son called, and we had a nice long conversation plus I got to talk to 2 of my grands. So, all in all, a very nice day.
Today: DH has 2 doctor appointments today. We have to leave very soon, and I have no idea how long they will take - so this may turn out to be a long day. Or, it might not! LOL!

Today is "Victory Day (Russia)" ... "Yom Ha'Atzma'ut (Israel - Independence Day)".

Quotes of the Day:
"Magnificent promises are always to be suspected."
-- Theodore Parker

"I like work: it fascinates me. I can sit and look at it for hours".
-- Jerome K. Jerome

"A good listener is not only popular everywhere, but after a while he gets to know something."
-- Wilson Mizner

"If you watch a game, it's fun. If you play at it, it's recreation. If you work at it, it's golf."
-- Bob Hope
