Good Morning! Friday October 8, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The sun's not quite up, but the sky is glowing gold and mauve and blue. It's going to be upper 70s and sunny ... the kind of day that makes you just hate having to be inside! LOL! I don't know when it'll rain next, which I'm sure there are areas glad of (still having flood water from last week's deluge). Last night I did get most of my gardens watered well; tonight I'll try to get the soaker hoses out to the things farther away from the house.
I also got laundry mostly caught up, and a tiny bit of cleaning done. And a tiny bit of sewing. Well, every little bit helps I guess. :) Tonight I have some things I need to do before the weekend; maybe I'll fit some more "chores" in too. Or maybe not. :)

Good Morning! Thursday October 7, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The sun is not quite up yet, and the sky above the tree line is beautiful, all orange and red and yellow and purple. Today will be sunny and warm again, around 80 ... which is very nice. It's still on the dry side, so tonight I will probably need to water again. I still think they might come in earlier this year; but then again, we could end up with a lovely long fall. (wishful thinking? LOL!).
Last night I didn't find the energy I was hoping for; but I did stop for groceries on the way home, and I got a load of laundry done. Oh, and I worked on some paperwork. That stuff is like laundry, it just never ends!
Tonight is a good TV night again. I'm hoping to get the rest of the laundry caught up, and get some sewing done. I'm ready to start a new project, but need to finish the one (several?) I already have going! :)

Good Morning! Wednesday October 6, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Again, the sun is just peeping over the trees. It won't be many more mornings before it will no longer be up by this time. DST will soon come to an end, but even then, mornings will be getting darker. I don't mind this year ... I'll soon be seeing fewer of them (at least this early)! LOL! Today will be another perfect fall day: right around 70, mostly sunny, a little windy.
Last night I didn't get a lot of cleaning done, but I did get a lot of important paperwork taken care of. Since it needed to be done, that counts too! And, I got to sleep a bit earlier. Tonight, hopefully, I'll be able to get something more productive done ... I have several things I need to get checked off my "to do" list before the weekend; and tonight isn't very good for TV (for me). Sad, huh. What can I say, I like my shows! :)

Good Morning! Tuesday October 5, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The sun is just coming over the tree tops way in back, and the sunrise is gorgeous this morning. Today will be upper 60s, maybe even low 70s, partly cloudy but mostly sunny. I hate to admit it after last week's deluge ... but I will soon have to water the gardens again. It's hard to guess with the strange weather we've had this year; but I suspect the outside plants may have to come inside a bit earlier this year.
I ended up having to run an errand after work ... and Wal-Mart was insane!! ... so much later getting home than I would have liked. And of course I got very little done. Eventually some energy or enthusiasm or something will kick in and I'll get the things done around here that I want done. I hope! LOL!

Good Morning! Monday October 4, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's still a bit gray out, and it's supposed to be mostly cloudy today. We didn't end up getting any rain yesterday (at least, not in my area); only a slight chance of it today. It's turned cool .. reall fall weather ... ony mid 60s today! This might even be a day to open the doors and turn the furnace on (to burn off the dust that accumulates over the summer). Then when the nights start getting too chilly, we'll be ready for heat.
Yesterday ended up taking longer than we hoped; but in the end, we were finally successful in our mission. :) DH now has a nice new suit; and I even got a tiny bit of Christmas shopping done. We were all really tired by last night though ... so of course, other than one quick load of laundry, nothing got done.
Tonight I will need to get busy for sure. The shows I like to watch on Monday don't start until 8:00; and there are lots of commercials ... so I should get busy! :)

Good Morning! Sunday October 3, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a bit overcast, and nice and cool outside. At one time the forecast was for rain to come in by evening; later it changed, but I didn't hear an updated one last night. So ... it might rain some time today! LOL! It'll probably be low 70s (possibly even a bit cooler - lovely!).
Yesterday was a fantastic day. My son & his family treated me to a musical show (Pandemonium), Chinese dinner (at the mall), and Cirque de la Symphonie (symphony plus acrobatic performances). It was a gloriously beautiful day, and I enjoyed every bit of it!
Today won't be quite so exciting! LOL! We're dragging DH shopping. He has to have a suit for the upcoming family wedding. He is not looking forward to this expedition. Neither am I! LOL!
If it doesn't take too long, tonight I'll catch up laundry, and hopefully at least start on what should have been this week's cleaning project. Or, maybe I'll just sew! :)

Good Morning! Saturday October 2, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's gloriously bright and clear out; today will be a perfect crisp fall day, low 70s and mostly sunny. I'm not sure if all the rain has moved out of the rest of the state or not; I do know there are areas east and northeast of me that got serious flooding. I pray for those affected, and I praise God for this perfect day!
Last night we went out to eat. Jimmy has gotten "stuck" on a particular restaurant. Not because it's all that great (though it is good); but because they have an old farm instrument of some kind on a wall, and it's making him crazy trying to find out what it is! LOL! So far, no one knows. After that I returned an item, and then we came on home. My phone line is cleared up ... Yay! I did sew a little, did a bit of decluttering and some little organizing (ok, Very little!), and mostly watched TV.
Today I'm getting a treat, my son and his family are coming to take me with them for a day in Raleigh. We're going to a show, to "the mall" (didn't say which one, but I can guess), and maybe even to a symphony. Wow!! I got on up (ok, not as early as a work day!!) and have done a few of the things I needed to get done already (dishes, bagged trash, mopped kitchen). Soon I will go get myself presentable. I'm so excited! :)
