Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The sun's not quite up, but the sky is glowing gold and mauve and blue. It's going to be upper 70s and sunny ... the kind of day that makes you just hate having to be inside! LOL! I don't know when it'll rain next, which I'm sure there are areas glad of (still having flood water from last week's deluge). Last night I did get most of my gardens watered well; tonight I'll try to get the soaker hoses out to the things farther away from the house.
I also got laundry mostly caught up, and a tiny bit of cleaning done. And a tiny bit of sewing. Well, every little bit helps I guess. :) Tonight I have some things I need to do before the weekend; maybe I'll fit some more "chores" in too. Or maybe not. :)
Today is "Alvin C. York Day" ..."National Pierogy Day" ... "National Fluffernutter Day".
Quotes of the Day:
"Civilization is the art of living in towns of such size the everyone does not know everyone else."
-- Julian Jaynes
"Television news is like a lightning flash. It makes a loud noise, lights up everything around it, leaves everything else in darkness and then is suddenly gone."
-- Hodding Carter
