Idol watching

I confess to being totally addicted to American Idol. I did not watch the first three seasons ... I didn't even know what it was then. Season 4 (Carrie Underwood!!) was my first, and I was totally hooked! Funny thing was, I found it by accident. Well, antient history now. The point is, January through May, Tuesday nights 8:00 and Wednesday night 9:00, that's where I'll be.

I have in the past joined some AI yahoo groups. They are overwhelming. Plus the volume of email those groups generate is way more than I can handle. And the controversy ... geez! I just wanna enjoy the show! LOL! However, that leaves me with no one to talk to about the show. Well, there's this one guy at work, our resident nerd. He's a fan. He's also younger than my son (meaning he sees music from a totally different perspective than I do). There's one lady that watches ... sometimes. Now that's just NOT a fan! LOL!

So, this week, tonight, we're down to the final 4. I have believed for a long time now that Adam is going to win. Nothing is guaranteed, of course. And last week, him next to last, was quite a shock. Probably enough to rally his fans! Personally, I really love Allison, though I think she's too young. She seems more mature than a lot of 16 year olds, but still. Chris and Danny ... well, I like Danny. But I'm not "thrilled" with either of them.

I did not enjoy "No Doubt". My age showing, I know. Doesn't matter. I did enjoy Paula.

Now to the results. First safe, Chris. I really hope that means Danny is going home ... but, a bit of show left. We shall see. After the commercial, Daughtry. I was (still am in some ways) a total Taylor fan that year; but I do like Chris, and will enjoy his performance I think. (and yes, I loved seeing Taylor a few weeks ago ... and I do have his newest CD. I bought it used, but who cares! LOL! It's now on my ipod).
