Good Morning! Monday February 1, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's bright and clear, lots of sunlight reflecting off the ice. It's cold now, but should go to low 40s today, which will melt off some of the ice (and the rain predicted for tomorrow should get most of the rest of it). A lot of roads are still very slick, but I'm told the "main" roads are clear, so I should n't have any trouble getting to work.
Yesterday was another semi-lazy day. The water came on by early afternoon, and I got watery things (dishes, laundry, showers) done! Our neighbor stopped by to see if we needed anything (he was having no problem getting around in his truck). I got a burst of energy (helped by having actual sunlight coming in the windows! LOL!), got the last tree upstairs, and all the packed boxes up. I also brought down a few more to pack. The big tree is still up, because I have nowhere to put the pieces until I can take it to the barn; and the 2 white trees are up ... just because they're so pretty! :)
I haven't heard anything about the class tonight, but I suspect I won't try to go. I really don't want to be trying to drive once it gets dark and whatever is left freezes.
If you have to get out today ... be careful!

Today is "Freedom Day" ... "Hula in the Coola Day" ... "Robinson Crusoe Day" ... "Working Naked Day".

Quotes of the Day:
"The squeaking wheel doesn't always get the grease. Sometimes it gets replaced."
-- Vic Gold

"When you really trust someone, you have to be okay with not understanding some things."
-- Real Live Preacher
