Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! Again, the forecast is for partly cloudy, but it's starting out beautifully clear. Today will be mid 80s, possibly another record high. Strange for the past year how man "record" temps there have been. I think it'll still be breezy (at my house, it's nearly always windy!), but still a good day for gardening to get done.
Yesterday: It was an odd day. Some people showed up as expected; but it was mostly earlier or later or not at all. Since the day started with the visiting nurse coming early, I didn't try to get involved in any projects. I just kept up with "the usual" (laundry, dishes, meals). I did keep the house fairly reasonably neat. I also let the kitty out of the kitchen for the day, since not so many surfaces had things for her to break. She had a glorious time racing around! LOL! The therapist came much later than expected; one person came by for a short visit; and 2 other people expected weren't able to get here.
Today: Today is a dialysis day, so we won't be home a good chunk of the day. I have an appointment in the afternoon; and I also plan to go by and find out why my new data card isn't working; and I have questions about my phone. Today will be a day for asking a lot of questions of a lot of people! LOL! While I'm out for the afternoon, someone is coming by to start getting the garden area tilled up so we can start planting soon. Yay! :)
Today is "American Diabetes Association Alert Day" ... "As Young As You Feel Day" ... "International Day of the Seal" ... "International Goof Off Day" ... "UN World Day for Water" ... "Emancipation Day (Puerto Rico)" ... "New Years Day (India)".
Quotes of the Day:
"Those who speak most of progress measure it by quantity and not by quality."
-- George Santayana
"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."
-- Sir Winston Churchill
"People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use."
-- Soren Kierkegaard
I apologize for no history and birthdays today. The site I usually use appears to have acquired a virus, so I'm staying away from it for a bit. Usually I can *copy* from last year ... but for some unknown reason, there was no newsletter on this date last year! Hopefully by tomorrow things will be back to "normal"! :)
Everyone have a Great Tuesday!
