Idol Watching Top 6

Tonight's mentor, Shania Twain, her songs.

First: Lee, "Still The One". Nice voice, still not my favorite, but has improved a lot. Gets better as he goes on. Didn't care for the end too much.
Judges: Randy: started pitchy, then found his "sweet spot". Ellen: better than "pretty good", always makes a song his own. Kara: sound of voice makes it sound relevant; smiled a few times. Simon: agreed with everyone, perfect song.

Second: Mike, "It ONly Hurts When I'm Breathing". I just love him. His voice moves me to tears. I will want whatever CD he makes, whether he wins or not.
Judges: Randy: really in the zone. Ellen: felt like Luther Vandross; beautiful. Kara: always feels connected, great that he didn't change melody too much. Simon: agreed with Ellen, but performance "wet", girly feeling. OK, Simon is officially weird.

Third: Casey, "Don't". I still just love him too. I think this is one of his best performances, just a beautiful job.
Judges: Randy: one of his best ever! Ellen: sang like that's where he belongs, beautiful, best ever. Kara: artists do not hide, he "showed it all", keep it up! Simon: agree with Randy, best so far; actually felt he was singing his own song! Told him to come give Shania a kiss!

Fourth: Chrystal, "Right Now" (not sure name?). I still love her voice, though I'm not sure this was best. But, it got better as she went on. She's really cute, but I just hate that hair in the face!
Judges: Randy: loved the accoustic version, not his favorite version. Ellen: nothing she can't do; not favorite, but always good. Kara: impossible not to be good, always feels honest. believable, not best, but amazing. Simon: limp, didn't feel conviction,forgetable.

Fifth: Aaron, "You Got A Way". He has a nice voice, and he's a nice young man, but I'm just not feeling this tonight; though he ended nicely.
Judges: Randy: really good job. Ellen: impressed with amount of emotion shown. Kara: agree with Ellen. Simon: thinks he's struggling, but a different artist tonight. this is his kind of music, felt sincere.

Sixth: Siobhan, "Any Man of Mine". Liked the singing, but not the performance ... I still think she's weird. And hate that she always has to end shrieky.
Judges: Randy: loved it. Ellen: way to pull the Shania Twain into the station. Kara: she's back! Simon: song was perfect, screaming at the end went too long.

This is a hard one! They're all good at this point. Going out on a limb, the "weak link" tonight *might* have been Lee.
