Good Morning! Thursday October 28, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's still dark out, with more left over cloudy. Last night a string of strong storms moved across the state; we got more rain, but none of the storms. There may be a few this morning, but mostly it will clear to partly cloudy and around 80 by this afternoon. The storms are a natural by-product of this unseasonably warm weather. I think by tomorrow it's supposed to get back closer to "normal".
Yesterday: We didn't end up going out, the weather was too "iffy". I managed to clean a fairly good size chunk of my room, that always seems to accumulate clutter.
Today: Now that I've cleared room, I plan to try to assemble a new desk chair. I'm not very "mechanical"! LOL! So, hopefully I can manage this. Plus, more good shows to watch tonight! :)

Today is "Saint Jude's Day" ... "Statue Of Liberty Day" ... "Independence Day (Czech Republic)" ... "Ochi Day (Greece)".

Qoutes of the Day:
"The danger is not that a particular class is unfit to govern. Every class is unfit to govern."
-- Lord Acton

"It’s the friends you can call up at four a.m. that matter."
-- Marlene Dietrich

"Always render more and better service than is expected of you, no matter what your task may be."
-- Og Mandino

Today in history:

In 1992, scientists using sonar to map Scotland's Loch Ness made contact with a mysterious object but declined to speculate what that implies about whether legendary monster "Nessie" exists.

In 2007, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner became the first woman to be elected president of Argentina. She succeeded her husband, Nestor Kirchner.
