Good Morning! Tuesday November 9, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! With DST over, my morning backyard is flooded with light. It'll be low 70s today, a bit above "normal" but a lovely day just the same!
Yesterday: As usual, on work days, I fizzle. I did get a few errands done; and I got one "major" chore accomplished at home. After that, I enjoyed watching Dancing. I'm still a Jennifer fan (though Brandy is certainly giving her a close call; and Kyle is adorable! LOL!).
Today: This is my last work day this week. I hope tonight to finish up laundry (towels still waiting to be folded - I seem to put that off!), and at least clear all the clutter off the dining room table. Any more than that depends entirely on getting a fresh burst of energy! :)

Today is "National Young Readers Day" ... "Anniversary - Kristallnacht" ... "Independence Day (Cambodia)".

Qoutes of the Day:
"You can't have a light without a dark to stick it in."
-- Arlo Guthrie

"Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from."
-- Al Franken

"Every great advance in natural knowledge has involved the absolute rejection of authority."
-- Thomas H. Huxley

Today in history:
In 1984, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington was completed by the addition of the Frederick Hart statue called "Three Servicemen."

In 1985, Gary Kasparov, 22, became the youngest world chess champion, ending the 10-year reign of Anatoly Karpov in Moscow.
