Good Morning! Saturday October 24, 2009

Good morning! It's a lovely morning (so far) - overcast, but "bright" - and even as I write this, the sun is peeking out, and most of the back yard is glowing! It's going to be another warm day, with possibility of showers and even storms by afternoon. I'm taking my chances anyway! LOL! I haven't been to the State Fair in way more years than I can remember; at least since my son (in his late 30s) was a small child. The rides and sideshows and such don't interest me, but I've been wanting to go see the exhibits. Today's my chance! YAY! I'm picking up my friend and we're going to Raleigh, park the car, and ride the bus. No way would I drive in that traffic. I have no idea how long we'll stay, or how much junk food we'll eat (fried everything!!). I'm sure I'll be exhausted and miserable tomorrow ... but it'll be fun! LOL!

Today is "Make A Difference Day" ... "United Nations Day" ... "UN World Development Information Day" ... "Independence Day (Zambia)".

Quotes of the Day:
"Always be nice to those younger than you, because they are the ones who will be writing about you.
-- Cyril Connolly

"No matter where you live, brothers are brothers and sisters are sisters. The bonds that keep family close are the same no matter where you are.
-- Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata
