Good Morning! Thursday October 8, 2009

Good morning! It is a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear, and will be just a near-perfect day: sunny, mid 70s, low humidity, slight breeze. I'll have to think up an excuse to go out at lunch time! LOL!
Last night I made some progress on a small craft project; and a lot of progress on one of 15 parts of a big project. That doesn't sound like much, but the big project is a major accomplishment. I'm very pleased with how it looks so far ... just have to actually finish it! Tonight I have to do laundry, and a few cleaning chores; but I'm hoping to find sewing time too.

Today is "Alvin C. York Day" ... "National Depression Screening Day" ... "Cosmopolite's Day" ... "International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction" ... "International Top Spinning Day" ... "National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work and School Day" ... "Native American's Day".

Quotes of the Day:
"Holding on to anger, resentment and hurt only gives you tense muscles, a headache and a sore jaw from clenching your teeth. Forgiveness gives you back the laughter and the lightness in your life.
-- Joan Lunden

"Irrigation of the land with seawater desalinated by fusion power is ancient. It's called 'rain'.
-- Michael McClary

In 2003, researchers found the remains of a synagogue dating from the fifth or sixth century in the Albanian coastal city of Saranda.
