Good Morning! Thursday July 1, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It looks to be a bit overcast, but I think it just might be morning mist that will burn off. Today is supposed to be mid 80s, partly cloudy, and less humid. After a record setting stretch of June days in the 90s, now we're below "normal" ... a lovely break, and perfect weather!
Last night when I got home Jimmy wanted me to ride into town with him to buy some fresh veggies (corn, field peas, cantalope); and then we went by and picked up son and grandson to bring home for dinner. So, I didn't get anything done ... but since I tripped over the dog (playing tag with her), it was just as well to be lazy. All is fine this morning. :)
Tonight I hope to do a bit of pre-weekend-cleaning. That's the plan. At this point, it might be interesting to see what I really manage to accomplish! LOL!

Today is "Second Half of the New Year Day" ... "Anniversary - Battle of Gettysburg" ... "Anniversary - First Postage Stamp" ... "Anniversary - First US Zoo" ... "Anniversary - Medicare" ... "Anniversary - Zip Codes Inaugurated" ... "Canada Day (Canada)" ... "Half-Year Day (China)" ... "Independence Day (Burundi)" ... "Independence Day (Rwanda)" ... "Republic Day (Ghana)".

Quotes of the Day:
"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."
-- Mark Twain

"Slight not what's near, while aiming at what's far."
-- Euripides
