Good Morning! Monday February 14, 2011

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's clear and bright, and quite unseasonably warm. It may go to the lower 70s today. This is the kind of day that fools you into thinking it's nearly spring; but it's still only mid February. I'd love to hope for an early spring, but not counting on it. :)
Yesterday: We didn't get off as early as I hoped. I did a quick load of laundry (well, "quick" is relative - had to cycle through 2 loads to get to mine! LOL!), and got the boxes out of the car. However, when I went to the car I found we had a flat tire! So, DS went out and changed that. Somehow, with this and that, it got to be mid afternoon before we left. With a "toy" tire on, I went slower ... took longer to get home, but safe. :)
Today: After finishing unpacking and laundry, and a few "catch-up" things, I'll go to town for 2 new tires. We're going to a friend's for dinner tonight ... yay, no cooking or dishes. :)

Today is "Ferris Wheel Day" ... "National Donor Day" ... "National Have A Heart Day" ... "Race Relations Day" .... "Valentine's Day" ... "Anniversary - League of Women Voters" ... "Admission Day (Arizona)" ... "Admission Day (Oregon)".

Quotes of the Day:
"He who confers a favor should at once forget it, if he is not to show a sordid ungenerous spirit. To remind a man of a kindness conferred and to talk of it, is little different from reproach."
-- Demosthenes

"Peace is when time doesn't matter as it passes by."
-- Maria Schell

"It is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them."
-- Pierre Beaumarchais

"Two wrongs don't make a right, but they make a good excuse."
-- Thomas Szasz

Today in history:
