Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! Well, ok, I can't actually "see" it from here, except tiny peeks through the blinds. But I see blue sky, and hear birds, and that makes it a lovely day.
It's supposed to be upper 80s with possible afternoon storms ... which means planning around that.
Yesterday we got quite a lot of organizing and packing done. Nearly everything in the apartment is sorted and packed one way or another. My sister went home with a VERY loaded truck;
hopefully today will be for organizing and packing what's left.
There's a lot of things to be taken out, and hopefully afternoon rain won't make that a problem.
Last night, after such a busy day, we ate (yummy!!) left overs from the night before, and struggled to stay awake for our "regular" shows.
Tonight my family will get here (not quite sure who yet, depends on some towing trailer issues), so tomorrow will be even busier! :)
Today is "Hug Your Cat Day" ... "Slugs Return from Capistrano Day" ... "Anniversary - Amnesty International" ... "Day of the Republic (Azerbaijan)" ... "National Day (Ethiopia)".
Quotes of the Day:
"If the English language made any sense, a catastrophe would be an apostrophe with fur."
-- Doug Larson
"Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such."
-- Henry Miller
Today in history:

In 1892, the Sierra Club was founded by famed naturalist John Muir.
In 1934, the Dionne sisters, Emilie, Yvonne, Cecile, Maria and Annette, first documented set of quintuplets to survive, were born near Callander, Ontario, and soon became world famous.

In 1998, in a first, digitized pictures taken by the Hubbell Space Telescope seemed to show an image of a planet outside the solar system. The planet circled two stars in the constellation Taurus.
In 2006, San Francisco slugger Barry Bonds hit his 715th home run to move past Babe Ruth as No. 2 on the all-time major league homer list. Hank Aaron was the career leader at that point with 755.
