Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! It's cool and gray and WET outside! After a cloudy day yesterday, in the late evening storms began moving through; we ended up with rain most of the night. YAY! Just looking out the window I see new flowers blooming, and they're all dancing with joy. It will be cloudy and low 70s today, maybe rain off and on all day. Everything has been so dry, and this is so welcome!!
I ended up spending all day yesterday on inside jobs. Some outside things are still waiting (they may be easier now with the ground soaked); but no watering! :) I started cleaning my kitchen floor (yuck!); and also got most of the "stuff" cleared out of the guest room so I can put a bed in it. I even managed to work on a few little sewing projects. Too bad I have to stop all this productivity and go to work! LOL! Tonight I'll work on the kitchen floor some more (doing it in small sections at a time), and hopefully do more sewing while watching dancing.
Today is "Armed Forces Day" ... "UN World Information Society Day" ... "UN World Telecommunication Day" ... "World Hypertension Day" ... "Anniversary - 1st US Same-Sex Marriage" ... "Constitution Day (Norway)".
Quotes of the Day:
"Honest criticism is hard to take, particularly from a relative, a friend, an acquaintance, or a stranger."
-- Franklin P. Jones
"The quantity of civilization is measured by the quality of imagination."
-- Victor Hugo
I apologize, but all of my "usual" sources for history and birthdays have failed me this morning! I guess everyone but me is sleeping in. LOL!! Hopefully we'll be back to the "usual" information by tomorrow morning.
Everyone have a Great Monday!
