Last weekend my friend and I were browsing an "upscale" flea market. I love vintage tablecloths, and several caught my eye. They were all priced at $25, and I passed. Then this really pretty one turned up. It was labeled "tablecloth 64 x 72" .. for $12.00. Well, I snagged it.
At home, while looking for co-ordinating dishes, my friend was checking out the tablecloth ... and realized something funny. One edge had a plastic liner and button holes .... it wasn't a tablecloth at all, but a shower curtain!! LOL!!
So, I cut off each long edge (to make them equal), and hemmed it ... and now it really is a lovely tablecloth! :)
