Good Morning! Thursday December 9, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. The cold air is (temporarily at least) moving on; today will be mostly sunny, and a bit warmer with low 40s. This has been such a strange year of record highs and lows! Some "normal" will be nice. :)
Yesterday: I played a lot of the "hurry up and wait" game, but in the end I did manage to get a few things accomplished. Some cleaning got done; some laundry, some gift wrapping. Sadly, the "big" tree could not be resurrected (like a horse, it has a broken leg and had to be shot! LOL!). I did some re-arranging, and will make some more changes next week. In the end, I will like the arrangement better anyway. :)
Today: This will be a very busy day. All the errands I didn't finish all week have to be completed; a few gifts have to get final touches; and I really need to get as much as possible cleaning and decorating finished. Tonight I pack .. yay! :)

Today is "Chanukah (Jewish - 8th & final day, ends at sundown)" ... "UN International Anti-Corruption Day" ... "Independence Day (Tanzania)" ... "Republic Day (Tanzania)".

Quotes of the Day:
"If your parents never had children, chances are you won't, either."
-- Dick Cavett

"At the worst, a house unkept cannot be so distressing as a life unlived."
-- Dame Rose Macaulay

"No matter how much you disagree with your kin, if you are a thoroughbred you will not discuss their shortcomings with the neighbors. "
-- Tom Thompson
