Good Morning! Saturday July 23, 2011

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's going to be yet another very hot day. It seems we're about to set an all-time record for number of days in a row with temps of 100 or higher. This is not necessarily a record we're happy to break! For years I've been hearing the term "global warming". Is that what this is? There will be chances of afternoon storms; there were some yesterday, but nothing at my house, so the watering continues!
Yesterday: I started out well, got all the things done I wanted in the morning. I made a bit of progress on my "homework". But, my plans of not going out got changed. I didn't need to take trash; but then DH decided he had to have a haircut. So, we went into town anyway. While he was at the barber shop I went on and got groceries. But by the time we got home and I got everything unloaded and put away, I was too hot and tired to do anything else.
Today: It's a dialysis day, but since I don't work today perhaps I'll get a bit done. I have no errands to run except a stop by the farmer's market (hoping for some more fresh corn!). I think perhaps my long stretch of afternoon to myself will be a good time to work on the class. I'll have to take the trash that didn't get done yesterday. I'd like to think by tonight I'll work on my project room - but I know having to go in and out will zap us, so I will just wait and see, do what I can. :)

Today is "Gorgeous Grandma Day" ... "Hot Enough For Ya Day" ... "Leo Begins" ... "National Day of the Cowboy" ... "Saint Apollinaris Feast Day" ... "Revolution Day (Egypt)".

Quotes of the Day:
"Money doesn't always bring happiness. People with ten million dollars are no happier than people with nine million dollars."
-- Hobart Brown

"There are several good protections against temptations, but the surest is cowardice."
-- Mark Twain
