Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's cold, but clear and bright. And it really IS winter now. :) Yesterday turned out to be a very nice day, not so very cold at all. I got all the things done I needed, and had a lovely visit with my sister (and a too short visit also with a niece). I've still got baking I want to get done ... need more cookies for grandsons! LOL!
Today is our department luncheon at work. I have my deviled eggs and brownies all ready and packed, and my swap gift. I just love it when we eat at work ... no lunch to pack! LOL! Tonight, hopefully, will get busy on some cookies.
There are 3 days left until Christmas!!
Today is "Crossword Puzzle Day" ... "Forefathers' Day" ... "Humbug Day" ... "National Haiku Poetry Day" ... "Phileas Fogg Wins a Wager Day" ... "Winter Begins (Northern Hemisphere)" ... "World Peace Day/Winter Solstice" ... "Summer Begins (Southern Hemisphere)".
Quotes of the Day:
"Fig Newton: The force required to accelerate a fig 39.37 inches per sec."
-- J. Hart
"If I had my life to live over... I'd dare to make more mistakes next time."
-- Nadine Stair
For some strange reason, I don't seem to be able to get history and birthdays for today's date. I checked the archives ... I had the same thing happen last year.
Everyone have a Great Monday!
