Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. After the gloriously beautiful weekend, I woke up to thunder! It's been raining steadily since I got up, but has about stopped now. My newly planted bulbs will be SO happy! Today will be pleasantly warm ... 60s ... and probably start clearing by this afternoon.
Yesterday was not as warm as I expected, but a perfect outside day. We had our "girls morning out" breakfast, and then tackled the yard. A cement table got moved ... YAY! It turned out to be not as hard as we thought, and it's now in it's new home. And, where it used to be is now planted with more pretty things to surround the pond. A bonus is that the table no longer blocks the view of the pond from the house. Also, a little bit of weeding got done, and a beautiful spring wreath now graces a blank wall on the front of my house.
Later, we took my niece back home, had a nice (but too short) visit with my sister, and came home with my little car stuffed!! We got 6 chairs (lovely old ones which I will refinish), a bath seat, a small TV, and a toaster oven all in there. They came out a lot quicker than they went in! LOL! All in all, it was a great day and a great weekend.
Today will be long, with the class tonight. And after tonight, I have a list of projects to work on!
Today is "As Young As You Feel Day" ... "International Day of the Seal" ... "International Goof Off Day" ... "UN World Day for Water" ... "Emancipation Day (Puerto Rico)" ... "New Years Day (India)".
Quotes of the Day:
"Never discourage anyone...who continually makes progress, no matter how slow."
-- Plato
"I improve on misquotation."
-- Cary Grant
