Good Morning! Saturday March 20, 2010

Good morning! It is a gorgeous morning!! It's officially spring today (well, sometime today, not sure "exactly" when - doesn't matter!). And we just couldn't have had a nicer day here. It's bright and clear now, and will go to mid or upper 70s! I'm really sad for my northern friends who are still having **shudder** snow and cold!! I have daffodils!!
Last night we went out to eat (too extravagant but oh well!) and by the grocery store, and then came home and watched a movie. We watched "Sunshine Cleaners". So-so. It was cute in places, strange in others ... and had the dumbest ending ever! (more like it just stopped, but didn't "end").
Today we are going to a civil war battle re-enactment. OK, I admit, the battle itself is not all that fascinating to me; although I'll probably enjoy it - *if* I can see it (crowds!). But the camp demonstrating the way of life in the mid 1800s (including authentic costuming) I find interesting. I like to see them showing spinning, weaving, cooking, metal working, basket making, and other skills that were a way of life 150 years ago but are pretty much rare and specialized now.
I think we will be really really tired by tonight! LOL!

Today is "Great American Meatout" ... "Kiss Your Fiance Day" ... "National Agriculture Day" ... "National Jump Out! Day" ... "National Quilting Day" ... "Proposal Day" ... "Spring Begins" ... "Sweater Day" ... "Vernal Equinox" ... "Won't You Be MY Neighbor Day" ... "Save the Florida Panther Day (Florida)" ... "Independence Day (Tunisia)".

Quotes of the Day:
"What if this weren't a hypothetical question?"
-- Unknown

"If we attend continually and promptly to the little that we can do, we shall ere long be surprised to find how little remains that we cannot do."
-- Samuel Butler
