Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! It started raining late yesterday afternoon, and hasn't stopped since! Today should be right around 80, a "cool" change from the long stretch of 90s (which seem to be over - but who knows what could happen in October!), cloudy all day with showers and storms. It feels like we're making up a 4 months deficit all at once! One minor "down" side of all the rain, a dead tree fell in our yard. But since the only "casualty" was the clothesline, at least it's no longer something to worry about! LOL!
Yesterday was very busy and fun. We didn't decide until "last minute" ... watching the weather; but went to Raleigh to the Home and Garden Show (and flea market - you know - while we were there!) Even though 99% of what was there was way over our financial capability (and that's not even counting that my house is rented! LOL!), we did get some great garden ideas, and had a lot of fun. We walked so much, I'm still tired ... hmmm ... rainy Monday .... should I take a "sick day"? LOL! (no ... no one else does my work if I don't go in. oh well.)
I think I'm supposed to do something after work; but unless I remember what it is, I'll just be going home. I know I like shows that come on tonight (Dancing and Hawaii Five-O), but hopefully I can get a few chores taken care of before 8:00 ... and work on sewing at least during commercials. :)
Today is "Ancestor Appreciation Day" ... "Family Day - A Day To Eat Dinner With Your Children" ... "Saint Vincent de Paul Feast Day" ... "World Tourism Day" ... "True Cross Day (Ethiopia)".
Quotes of the Day:
"The problem with any unwritten law is that you don't know where to go to erase it."

"Throw out an alarming alarm clock. If the ring is loud and strident, you're waking up to instant stress. You shouldn't be bullied out of bed, just reminded that it's time to start your day."
-- Sharon Gold
"A lot of people mistake a short memory for a clear conscience."
-- Doug Larson
