Good Morning! Saturday September 11, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's gray and overcast, and a good chance of rain by tonight. It will only reach the low to mid 80s today .. Wow! It's already nearly mid September ... dare we hope the worst of the summer heat is over? We are 3 days short of breaking the record number of days in the 90s in one year ... a record I think we're OK with NOT breaking! LOL! Then again, there are more 90s in next week's forecast. But, that's a few days off yet, could change.
Last night I was, as I predicted, lazy. I spent a few minutes on organizing paperwork; and I read some. Actually, I read a lot ... and was up too late! So, I slept a little later this morning. Today the plan is to power wash the "public" side of the house, and the cement porch. And anything else we can find that looks like it needs it! LOL! It'll still be warm enough to be ok with getting very wet (and hoping the water will help keep the gnats off!!). With rain predicted, watering the plants isn't a priority ... but it won't hurt them either. There are a few errands to run before we start playing ... uh, I mean working ... LOL!
A special note today: one of my guiding principals here has always been GOOD news. There is by far enough "gloom and doom" already. But, I cannot let this day go without requesting prayers for survivors and families. God Bless America!

Today is "Anniversary - World Trade Center/Pentagon Attacks" ... "911 Day" ... "Libraries Remember" ... "Patriot Day" ... "New Year's Day (Ethiopia)".

Quotes of the Day:
"A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men."
-- Anonymous

"When you are in any contest you should work as if there were - to the very last minute - a chance to lose it."
-- Dwight D. Eisenhower
