Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's bright and clear with only tiny lingering traces of morning mist. Our mid 90s today will tie the all time record (since they began keeping such records) for number of days in the 90s in a year. Tomorrow looks like it will set a new record! It's mid September, and while warm is "normal", 90s are (for the most part) not! Our few little tastes of fall were lovely ... ready for more! :) And, still, no rain in sight. I had to run errands the last two nights, and got home so late I never even thought about watering. Oops. Sure will have to do it tonight!
I've been on a search for "freezer packs" ... those little thingys you keep in the freezer and use to keep coolers and lunch boxes cold. I've searched 5 stores (and believe me, there aren't a lot to chose from here! LOL!), and can't find any. I didn't think I'd have to leave town to find something so simple, but it looks like I will. Bummer.
Last night I watched AGT, the final 4. I was glad to see the singer I liked was there. I find myself wondering how much influence the judges comments have on the public voting. I agreed with the grumpy judge on his somewhat negative comments; but I do not agree that a Vegas show is appropriate for a 10 year old, no matter how talented.
I guess I better watch tonight to see who wins. Then it's only a week (I think) until Dancing With The Stars starts. Sad to have to plan my housekeeping and projects around TV programs! LOL!! (But, just for the record, I'm favoring Jennifer Grey, simply because "Dirty Dancing" is one of my all time favorite movies!) :)
Today is "UN International Day of Democracy" ... "Anniversary - Greenpeace" ... "Battle of Britain Day (UK)" ... "Independence Day (Costa Rica)" ... "Independence Day (El Salvador)" ... "ndependence Day (Guatemala)" ... "Independence Day (Honduras)" ... "Independence Day (Nicaragua)".
Quotes of the Day:
"Times have not become more violent. They have just become more televised."
-- Marilyn Manson
"If I have learnt anything, it is that life forms no logical patterns. It is haphazard and full of beauties which I try to catch as they fly by, for who knows whether any of them will ever return?"
-- Margot Fonteyn
