Good Morning! Saturday January 22, 2011

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's overcast, but not "dark and gloomy"; but it's very cold. The prediction for today is only mid 30s, but dry. It's once again below "normal", and *maybe* more wintery stuff next week.
Yesterday: It was a long and mostly boring day, and all clinic days tend to be. We did manage to find time to meet a dear friend for lunch/coffee break, and that was nice. We met with yet another doctor (and got good news for a change!). We hit most of the worst of the evening traffic, so by the time we got home, I just wimped out of doing anything! LOL!
Today: Some friends are coming over this afternoon for a "jewelry party". It's an excuse to have some friend come visit, eat yummy junk food, and visit; and maybe even buy some pretty bling! :) Until then, I'll be scrambling to finish getting the house in order; and after, I'll be taking my niece back home. Maybe this evening I'll be able to just rest and sew some.

Today is "Answer Your Cat's Question Day" ... "Celebration of Life Day" ... "Saint Vincent's Feast Day" ... "Anniversary - Roe vs Wade" ... "Ukrainian Day (Ukraine)".

Quotes of the Day:
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler."
-- Henry David Thoreau

"How little a thing can make us happy when we feel that we have earned it."
-- Mark Twain

"One of the most important ways to manifest integrity is to be loyal to those who are not present. In doing so, we build the trust of those who are present."
-- Stephen Covey

"Americans will put up with anything provided it doesn't block traffic."
-- Dan Rather
