Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's gray and rainy; but they've been saying we're way behind on rainfall, so we need it. It'll be warm again today, upper 50s (maybe even 60) ... so we're back to what's "normal" here. If it's wet, it warms; if it's cold, it gets dry. :)
Yesterday: It was a long day, a lot of "go here and wait", "go there and wait". Clinic hours are frustrating to say the least! And then there's the drive home in all that traffic. Well, we survived, so I guess it's all ok. :)
Today: Today is back to work for me. It's one more week of back-to-back Monday then Friday! I hope by tonight I find a little burst of energy to work on cleaning or decluttering something ... but I usually don't! LOL!
Today is "Tin Can Day" ... 'Tu B'Shvat (Jewish - begins at sundown)" ... "Wolf Moon" ... "Confederate Heroes Day (Texas)" ... "Timket (Ethiopia)".
Quotes of the Day:
"In the absence of clearly-defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily trivia until ultimately we become enslaved by it."
-- Robert Heinlein
"When we see men of a contrary character, we should turn inwards and examine ourselves."
-- Confucius
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."
-- E. F. Schumacher
"The nice thing about egotists is that they don't talk about other people."
-- Lucille S. Harper
Today in history:
