Good Morning! Saturday April 30, 2011

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning, and is going to be a beautiful near-perfect day. It's bright and clear, will go to mid to upper 70s, just a slight breeze. This is NC spring at it's best .. and rarest! LOL!
Yesterday: It was an extraordinarily busy day! All the "usual" household stuff got done, including 2 loads of laundry, lots of dishes, and so on. I spent a bit of time working on cleaning out a long-neglected room; and we spent many hours weeding the garden! The first things planted are growing gloriously; by the end of today, much more will be planted.
Today: I have to run a few quick errands after taking DH to dialysis, and then it's back to the garden. I'm even hiring a young helper today, so we can get as much as possible done while we have such lovely weather!

Today is "Hairstylist Appreciation Day" ... "Just Pray No: Worldwide Weekend Prayer and Fasting" ... "Louisiana Purchase Day" ... "National Go Birding Day" ... "National Honesty Day" ... "National Rebuilding Day" ... "Spank Out Day USA" ... "World Healing Day" ... "World Tai Chi and Qigong Day" ... "Admission Day (Louisiana)".

Quotes of the Day:
"used to dread getting older because I thought I would not be able to do all the things I wanted to do, but now that I am older I find that I don't want to do them."
-- Nancy Astor

"A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both."
-- Dwight D. Eisenhower

"I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one (****) of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult."
-- E. B. White
