Good Morning! Saturday April 9, 2011

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. Today will be right much cooler than yesterday, but still quite "comfortable" in the mid to upper 60s. It'll stay cloudy, and there could be some more showers. Storms moved in late yesterday, and there was a thunder storm late at night ... lots of lovely rain, at night as is proper! LOL!
Yesterday: We took advantage of the nice day (that turned out hotter than expected). I got a bit of cleaning done in the morning, and 2 loads of laundry done - even hung things out to take advantage of the weather. A friend came over to help out with yet another electronic issue (resolved!). Then I got my gardener, we took a quick trip through a local antique/flea market, then came back to work in the garden. We made a huge amount of progress in the veggie garden plot, plus some weeding and clearing an older (neglected) garden so I could plant a new rose bush. And, to top off the day, a guy came by last night to take my old van to a shop ... put a battery in it, and it started right up and ran like a dream! LOL! All it needs is an inspection & current tags. Yay! :)
Today: It's a dialysis day, so what ever gets done will be fit around that schedule. Since it is cooler and might be rainy (plus the ground is a bit muddy right now), I'll run a few errands and do some shopping. I'm hoping to find a pink dogwood tree for the front yard; and there are a few other things, as always, to look for. :) I was too tired for sewing last night, so will try to do that tonight as well.

Today is "Baby Massage Day" ... "Jenkins's Ear Day" ... "National Cherish an Antique Day" ... "Winston Churchill Day" ... "Martyr's Day (Tunisia)".

Quotes of the Day:
"My friends are my estate."
-- Emily Dickinson

"Nothing is easy to the unwilling."
-- Nikki Giovanni

"No man ever listened himself out of a job."
-- Calvin Coolidge

"You can never underestimate the stupidity of the general public."
-- Scott Adams
