Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The sun is back - even though there are a few stray clouds out there, my backyard is just glowing! There's very little chance of rain today, or for the whole next week. We need rain, but we sure are having lovely fall days!
I got a little bit done on each of several projects, sewing and others, last night. It takes me a long time to finish things this way; but, I don't get bored with the projects and never finish! LOL! This weekend begins the phase of my schedule to start working on areas of the house that don't have (or have minimal) a/c. So I'm very happy to have milder days ... 80s are better than 90s! :)
The main focus of this newsletter is GOOD news. I strive to keep it that way. But, I cannot let today go by without a remembrance. In America, we are very blessed with our freedoms. From me, a huge THANK YOU to all members of the armed services, past and present, who protect these freedoms!!!
Today is "911 Day" ... "Libraries Remember" ... "Patriot Day" ... "New Year's Day (Ethiopia)".
Quotes of the Day:
"We are here on Earth to do good to others. What the others are here for, I don't know."
-- W. H. Auden
"The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining."
-- John F. Kennedy

In 1847, Stephen Foster's first hit, "Oh! Susanna," had its debut at a concert in a Pittsburgh saloon and soon became standard for minstrel troupes.
