Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. At the moment, it's lovely and cool, a touch overcast. The forecast is for mostly sunny, mid 80s. There's a possibility of rain tomorrow, but today is supposed to be another perfect fall day. All week long the prediction in for low to mid 80s ... hope the 90s are gone for the year (though that's doubtful).
Yesterday turned out quite nice. I finally got outside and started on the porch. It did get a bit frustrating, so much junk and some of it heavy. But, I worked on it; and in the afternoon my dear little friend came over to help. We got a huge amount .... nearly all of the "visible" half of the porch cleaned. That included getting rid of 5 wasp nests!!! Today the biggest part of finishing will be figuring out what to do with some of the left over stuff. We had a good excuse to stop by mid-afternoon, which was great since we were tired! LOL!
Jimmy and I went to his class reunion. I think they said it was #48, they're working on "big" plans for the 50th. I didn't know anyone there (have only "met" them whenever the last reunion was - they seem to pick irregular intervals). But, I had a great time anyway, and I believe Jimmy actually enjoyed himself as well.
Today, hopefully I can finish the porch, maybe even start on the other side (unless there turn out to be a bunch more wasp nests!!!); get more laundry done; and I hope to get to sewing.
Today is "Unification Day (Bulgaria)" ... "Defense of Pakistan Day (Pakistan)" ... "Independence Day (Swaziland)".
Quotes of the Day:
"When life seems chaotic, you don't need people giving you easy answers or cheap promises. There might not be any answers to your problems. What you need is a safe place where you can bounce with people who have taken some bad hops of their own."
-- Real Live Preacher
"Those who can laugh without cause have either found the true meaning of happiness or have gone stark raving mad."
-- Norm Papernick
