Good Morning! Wednesday September 16, 2009

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's lovely and cool, and will only get to mid 80s today. It will also be mostly cloudy ... and ... looks like at least a fair chance of showers! Yay! (well, not so "yay" for Jimmy who plans to mow grass today! LOL!). I just love this time of year - nice warm days (but no longer miserably hot) - usually lower humidity - cool nights!
Last night was not as productive as I hoped (no matter how hard I try, I get home frazzled), but I did get a few things done. So, my list will carry over to tonight.
Tonight is also the "grand finale" of AGT. I guess I will have to watch to see who wins. No, I never voted ... any one of about 3 or 4 or them would be ok (even though the Texas Tenors are my favorite). I do not care for that silly grandma - she's rather crude. And on principal I don't like the idea of children in a Los Vegas show. Narrows it down a bit! LOL! Hopefully I'll get some significant progress done on sewing tonight.

Today is "Ann Bradstreet Day" ... "Mayflower Day" ... "Women's Friendship Day" ... "UN International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer" ... "Anniversary - General Motors (100 years)" ..."Anniversary - Old Ironsides Saved by Poem" ... "Cherokee Strip Day (Ok)" ... "Independence Day (Mexico)" ... "Independence Day (Papua New Guinea)"

Quotes of the Day:
"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."
-- Douglas Adams

"Her virtue was that she said what she thought, her vice that what she thought didn't amount to much."
-- Peter Ustinov
