Good Morning! Friday August 20, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It's a bit overcast looking right now, but the forecast is for mostly sunny, mid 90s, and much less humidity. No rain for today, but we got lots of lovely rain yesterday! It rained off and on all day, and all the plants got the really good soaking they were needing.
We, too, had a great day. We went to the Marbles Kid's Museum (which is poorly named, IMHO. It is NOT a museum at all, but a learning center. Or even a giant playground! LOL!). It is a beautiful building, lots of cool and interesting architecture (would love to see my niece take some pictures there!). The boys had a wonderful time ... even the 13 year old (though it seems to be aimed primarily at younger kids). After there we made a quick stop at an open-air market in downtown "old" Raleigh; and then went down Hillsborough St., just to see the new layout, and made a stop at the Farmer's Market. I got a few more water plants, some new potatoes, and a nice big fresh tomato! :) We stopped for pizza on the way home, and then made a quick grocery store stop.
Today we are going to New Bern, so I'm working on getting some odds and ends done before we leave. Laundry is now caught up (again), kitchen is cleaned, and I'm working on getting the DGS (age 9) into the shower. Lots to do today! :)

Today is "National Men's Grooming Day" ... "Saint Stephen's Day (Hungary)".
