Good Morning! Thursday August 12, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. It's surprisingly "heavy" looking now, and the forecast is for mostly cloudy and possible storms. It'll be cooler today ... only 98 or so, with a heat index as high as 110. Yikes!! I do hope for the storms (though not, of course, "severe"!!), because I'm not very good at keeping the watering going. The garden looks happy for now ... at least the weeds haven't died. :)
Last night I got laundry done, and a few other small chores around the house. I didn't get as much as I hoped; but perhaps tonight I'll finish up what I needed. I haven't been following "SYTYCD" very closely, but tonight is the finale and I will try to watch it.

Today is "UN International Youth Day" ... "Vinyl Record Day" ... "Anniversary - IBM Personal Computer" ... "Anniversary - Sewing Machine".

Quotes of the Day:
"You can't help getting older, but you don't have to get old."
-- George Burns

"Money can't buy happiness, but neither can poverty."
-- Leo Rosten
