Good Morning! Friday August 6, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. We had a little bit of light rain last night (while north and south of us there were storms again); this morning it's again pale and sparkly. We didn't get as hot yesterday as predicted (the weather guru says it's because the sun's energy was evaporating instead of warming). Today we should be low 90s, mostly cloudy, and probably more afternoon and evening storms. I wouldn't mind more rain, though I'm quite OK with the "severe" weather skipping me! :)
I ran my errands last night after work. I had a hard time finding some of the things I was looking for (you just wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a very specific light bulb!!!). It ended up being pretty late by the time I got home. It had been one of "those" days at work .. so basically, I did nothing. So tonight I need to make up for lost time! I still have that chair to de-construct, a caulking job to finish, a sewing project to work on ... and I suspect there's something I'm forgetting. :)
The kitten's favorite passtime is climbing on me. Ouch! It's hard when I'm getting ready for work in the morning, so I shut her in the kitchen. She's at the door crying. Oh no, I feel so mean. But I'm not letting her out yet! LOL!

Today is "National Fresh Breath Day" ... "Anniversary - Hiroshima Day" ... "Anniversary - Voting Rights Act of 1965 Signed" ... "Independence Day (Bolivia)" ... "Peace Festival (Japan)".
