Good Morning! Sunday August 8, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. Today it's supposed to be low to mid 90s, and partly cloudy. At the moment it's bright, but random clouds pass across the sun from time to time. I'm not sure if there's much chance of rain, but I hope so. It could rain every day and not be too much in this heat!
Yesterday didn't go quite like I expected ... which, of course, is what I expect! LOL! We did get our few errands run, it just took longer than we thought. I forgot to factor in the crowds shopping on tax-free weekend!!! Oh well, we managed to find most of what we were looking for, and I got the board for the chair seats. It was so late, we went on down to New Bern. It was SO hot .. we must be crazy! :) Anyway, my son and dil have a banana tree and a lot of cannas planted, a start on some glads, and clear simple instructions so they can finish up. They fed us well before we headed home; and we got home around 11:30.
Today, of course, I need to *try* to do all the things that didn't get done yesterday. And, of course, I won't get to all of them; but I certainly intend to make a good dent in my "to-do list"! :)

Today is "The Date to Create" ... "Happiness Happens" ... "National Garage Sale Day" ... "Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbors' Porch Night" ... "Herbert Hoover Day (Iowa)" ... "Farmers Day (Tanzania)".

Quotes of the Day:
"Saying what we think gives us a wider conversational range than saying what we know."
-- Cullen Hightower

"We can learn nothing except by going from the known to the unknown."
-- Claude Bernard
