Good Morning! Friday July 23, 2010

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. Yesterday was hot, today will be hotter ... quite likely triple digits. We're on the edge of setting all kinds of heat records (oh, but wait, I'm wrong, I'm told this is "normal". Hmmm. I guess I want to move to Hawaii! LOL!) There's always the chance of those heat-induced afternoon storms, though more often than not they miss my house.
Last night was busy. After work I got the plant I needed (which I have to pot this morning - yikes!). It was difficult to choose, being it was about 98 in the plant area! I also got the final step done on my project, and I got laundry (mostly) caught up. And, with all that going on, the neighbor came by to visit. It was a busy evening!
Tonight my niece will be here, and I doubt we'll do anything but sweat ... uh, I mean veg ... in front of the TV! LOL!

Today is "Gorgeous Grandma Day" ... "Hot Enough For Ya Day" ... "Leo Begins" ... "Saint Apollinaris Feast Day" ... "Revolution Day (Egypt)".

Quotes of the Day:
"There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty."
-- John Adams

"Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable."
-- Sidney J. Harris
