Good morning! It's a wonderful morning! We got rain last night, and this morning everything is bright and fresh. OK, it wasn't a "lot" of rain ... we got several really strong storms that only lasted less than 10 minutes. Still, it was a good soaking on top of earlier watering. (and it looks like my apple tree isn't dead after all! Yay!). Today, and the next few days, will be tough. The forecast is for upper 90s, probably triple digits in the next few (possibly even today), humid, and more afternoon storms. The weatherman calls it a "heat hostage" situation! LOL!
Last night my friend came over and we got the "fun part" of the little project done. Between the heat and the storms (lots of thunder and lightening), I didn't get much else done. Tonight I have to run a quick errand; catch up laundry; and finish the project (if the weather permits). And, hopefully, since none of those will take too long, I'll get more done on my sewing project. :)
Today is "Pied Piper Day" ... "Rat Catcher's Day" ... "Spooner's Day".

-- Kathleen Norris
