Good Morning! Thursday July 8, 2010

Good morning! It's a wonderful morning. It will be a lot "cooler" than yesterday ... only low 90s! LOL! Yesterday we set high temps records. The weatherman noted that we had also set cold temp records this year. Oh well. :) It's a bit overcast this morning, and will be mostly cloudy ... hopefully with some showers. Even with watering, a good summer rain makes my garden so happy!
Last night Jimmy decided it was too hot to cook. OK with me, I needed to get some things in town anyway. It was late when we got back; but I didn't expect to get anything done anyway. :) I don't know if I will tonight either; except I might bring home a new kitten tonight.
It feels a bit "odd" to not have anything planned. I am going to a friend's house Saturday; but I have no trips to make until October, and no one coming to visit planned at the moment. I'm hoping to work out visits from 2 of my nieces, and would love to be able to take weekend trips both west and east ... but nothing is lined up for now. Hmmm ... I really *should* get sewing done!! :)

Today is "Savor the Comic, Unplug the Drama (SCUD) Day".

Quotes of the Day:
"Few things are more satisfying than seeing your own children have teenagers of their own.
-- Doug Larson

"And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow."
-- Jerry Chin

Inspirational Joy for the Day:
Don't try to hold God's hand; let Him hold yours.
Let Him do the holding and you do the trusting.
