The Anniversary Party

I always forget, and upload my photos backwards. So, I tell this in reverse. Here are my parents with4 of their 6 grandchildren, plus one fiance.

There were 10 of us at the anniversary party for my parents on Saturday. Two of four kids, 3 of 4 in-laws; 4 of 6 grandchildren, plus one fiance (we were missing 2 grandchildren, 2 grand-spouses, and one fiance). They also have 2 great-grands who were not able to be there.

We all had a lovely time visiting and catching up. Mama gave Daddy a digital timer and a newspaper subscription. Daddy gave Mama a lovely green (Peridot) bracelet.

The complex chef did a marvelous job with the dinner. There were some totally yummy appetizers; a lovely salad; and a steak that was perfection (and they actually got it right who wanted it how!); and baskets of fresh soft rolls. My brother kept pouring champagne, plus there was plenty of coffee, tea, etc. We also had some very nice deserts to choose from. We all went back up to the apartment stuffed and sleepy! :)

All of the young people had to return home. Jimmy and I stayed over the night at my brother's house, and we had another bit of a visit with my parents before we had to head back home.
