Good Morning! Sunday August 9, 2009

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning! It's bright and clear, and already upper 80s. It may go over 100 today; I don't remember if there's a chance of storms or not. Usually there is when it gets that hot. But, it's August, it's supposed to be hot! LOL!
I got a lot done yesterday. I felt like I "turned a corner". Suddenly, all the things on one list are done! I updated my Christmas blog with that report. Today I will work on cutting, sewing, finding recipes - some more fun stuff. Today got a late start, but that's ok since I did so well yesterday. I hope I do as well today. I had thought I *might* have company, but maybe not ... so no excuses! :)

Today is "Nagasaki Day" ... "Perseid Meteor Showers" ... "UN International Day of the World's Indigenous People" ... "Veep Day" ... "Herbert Hoover Day (Iowa)" ... "Moment of Silence (Japan)" ... "National Day (Singapore)" ... "National Women's Day (South Africa)".

Quotes of the Day:
"Things won are done; joy's soul lies in the doing. "
-- William Shakespeare

"The first question I ask myself when something doesn't seem to be beautiful is why do I think it's not beautiful. And very shortly you discover that there is no reason. "
-- John Cage
